Նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանը հունվարի 18-ին խորհրդակցություն է անցկացրել տնտեսական մրցակցության պաշտպանության պետական հանձնաժողովի անդամների մասնակցությամբ: Քննարկվել են Սահմանադրության փոփոխությունների նոր կարգավորումների ներքո հանձնաժողովի հետագա գործունեությանը վերաբերող հարցեր: Այդ համատեքստում անդրադարձ է եղել նաև կառավարության այսօրվա նիստում հավանության արժանացած «Տնտեսական մրցակցության պաշտպանության մասին» ՀՀ օրենքում փոփոխություններ կատարելու մասին» օրինագծով նախատեսվող փոփոխություններին:

Ինչպես տեղեկացրին ՀՀ Նախագահի աշխատակազմի հասարակայնության և տեղեկատվության միջոցների հետ կապերի վարչությունից, խորհրդակցության ժամանակ հանձնաժողովի անդամներն իրենց մոտեցումներն ու առաջարկություններն են ներկայացրել տնտեսական մրցակցության արդյունավետության բարձրացման տեսանկյունից կարևոր խնդիրների և առաջնահերթ իրականացվելիք աշխատանքների վերաբերյալ: Հանձնաժողովի նախագահ Արտակ Շաբոյանը Հանրապետության Նախագահին ներկայացրել է առանձին ապրանքատեսակների գների բարձրացման և դրա հետևանքների հնարավոր մեղմման վերաբերյալ Նախագահի մոտ օրերս կայացած խորհրդակցության ժամանակ տրված հանձնարարականների կատարման ընթացքը, այդ թվում` բարձր կենտրոնացվածություն ունեցող սոցիալական շուկաների մշտադիտարկման ուղղությամբ իրականացվող աշխատանքը: Անդրադարձ է եղել նաև վերջին տարիներին հանձնաժողովի գործունեության հիմնական ուղղություններով իրականացված աշխատանքներին, ձեռքբերումներին և խնդիրներին:
