Աշխատանքային այցով Ավստրալիայում գտնվող Արցախի Հանրապետության պետական նախարար Արայիկ Հարությունյանը մարտի 21-ին հյուրընկալվել է այդ երկրի Սենատում և հանդիպել մի շարք սենատորների հետ:

Ինչպես տեղեկացրին ԱՀ պետական նախարարի աշխատակազմի տեղեկատվության և հասարակայնության հետ կապերի բաժնից, Հարությունյանը հանդիպել է Ավստրալիայի Կանաչների կուսակցության անդամ, սենատոր Ջանեթ Ռայսին և Ավստրալիայի աշխատավորական կուսակցության անդամ Քրիստինա Քենելին: Պետնախարարը նախ շնորհակալություն է հայտնել Կանաչների կուսակցությանը՝ Արցախի Հանրապետության ժողովրդի ինքնորոշման իրավունքը ճանաչելու կապակցությամբ և այդ առթիվ փոխանցել է Արցախի իշխանությունների շնորհակալական նամակը՝ ուղղված կուսակցության նախագահ Ռիչարդ Դի Նատալին:

Սենատորների խնդրանքով՝ Ա. Հարությունյանը մանրամասներ է ներկայացրել Արցախում ընթացող ժողովրդավարական գործընթացների և ադրբեջանա-ղարաբաղյան հիմնախնդրի կարգավորման ջանքերի ներկա փուլի մասին:

«Մենք ի սկզբանե ընտրել ենք պետության կառուցման և կայացման ժողովրդավարական ուղին և այդ ճանապարհին կարևոր հանգրվանի ենք հասել: Այսօր Արցախի Հանրապետությունում հարգվում են մարդու իրավունքներն ու ազատությունները, և տնտեսական գործունեության բոլոր ձևերը պաշտպանված են օրենքով»,- նշել է Ա. Հարությունյանը:

Անդրադառնալով բանակցային գործընթացի ներկա փուլին՝ պետական նախարարն ընդգծել է, որ հակամարտության մյուս կողմի՝ Ադրբեջանի ապակառուցողական դիրքորոշման պատճառով հիմնախնդիրը շարունակում է չկարգավորված մնալ: Նրա խոսքով՝ Ադրբեջանի իշխանություններն ոչ միայն խոչընդոտում են բանակցային լիարժեք ձևաչափի վերականգնմանը, շարունակում են նաև պարբերաբար սադրիչ գործողություններ իրականացնել սահմանին՝ սպառնալիք հանդիսանալով Արցախի բնակչության անվտանգության համար:

Հանդիպման ընթացքում քննարկվել են նաև երկկողմ բարեկամական կապերի ստեղծման և Ավստրալիայի Սենատում այդ ուղղությամբ աշխատանքների ակտիվացման հետ կապված մի շարք հարցեր: Սենատորների առաջարկով՝ Ա. Հարությունյանը ներկա է գտնվել նաև Սենատի լիագումար նիստի աշխատանքներին:
