ՌԴ ԿԳ նախարարի հրավերով  ՀՀ կրթության և գիտության նախարար Լևոն Մկրտչյանի  գլխավորած պատվիրակությունը գտնվում է Մոսկվայում: Պատասխան այցի շրջանակում Լևոն Մկրտչյանը հանդիպել է ՌԴ ԿԳ նախարար Օլգա Վասիլևայի հետ: Ողջունելով միմյանց՝ երկու երկրների կրթության ոլորտի  պատասխանատուները կարևորել են կրթության և գիտության ոլորտում առկա հայ-ռուսական համագործակցությունը և պատրաստակամություն հայտնել ավանդական կապերի ամրապնդման և հետագա զարգացման ուղղությամբ:  Լևոն Մկրտչյանն ու Օլգա Վասիլևան հանդիպման ընթացքում անդրադարձել են  ՌԴ նախարարի Երևան կատարած այցի ընթացքում ձեռքբերված երկկողմ  պայմանավորվածություններին:

Ինչպես տեղեկացրին ՀՀ կրթության և գիտության նախարարության հասարակայնության հետ կապերի և տեղեկատվության վարչությունից, ՀՀ ԿԳ նախարարը նշել է, որ ելնելով Հայաստանի կրթության ոլորտի առաջնահերթություններից՝ կարևորվում է օտար լեզուների ուսուցման արդյունավետության բարձրացումը: Այս համատեքստում ռուսական կողմը պատրաստակամություն է հայտնել աջակցել  ռուսաց լեզվի դասավանդման մեթոդաբանության մշակման հարցում: Ռուսական կողմն ընդգծել է նաև, որ  հետաքրքրված է  Հայաստանի դպրոցներում «Շախմատ» առարկայի դասավանդման արդյունավետ փորձով:

ՀՀ ԿԳ նախարար Լևոն Մկրտչյանն իր հերթին հետաքրքրություն է դրսևորել թերհամալրված դպրոցներում կրթության կազմակերպման ռուսական փորձի նկատմամբ, ընդգծելով, որ  Հայաստանում փոքր համակազմ ունեցող դպրոցների զարգացումը ոլորտի առաջնահերթ խնդիրներից է:

Անդրադառնալով բարձրագույն կրթության ոլորտի բարեփոխումներին՝ Լևոն Մկրտչյանը նշել է, որ Հայաստանում այժմ քննարկվում է Բարձրագույն կրթության մասին օրինագիծը, որի ընդունումից հետո զարգացման և համագործակցության նոր հեռանկարներ են բացվում համալսարանական  գիտության համար: Այս համատեքստում ՀՀ ԿԳ նախարարը կարևորել է գիտական համատեղ կլաստերների ստեղծման հնարավորությունը, որը մեխանիզմներ կստեղծի  գիտական ինստիտուտներում  կրեդիտների կուտակման, ուսանողների և հետազոտողների շարժունության համար:

Հանդիպման ավարտին պայմանավորվածություն է ձեռք բերվել կրթության և գիտության ոլորտում ընդլայնել համագործակցությունը՝ նոր ծրագրերի իրականացմամբ, փորձի և տեղեկատվության փոխանակմամբ:
