Պաշտոնական այցով մարտի 27-ին իր պատվիրակության հետ Հայաստան ժամանած Լյուքսեմբուրգի արտաքին գործերի եւ եվրոպական հարցերի նախարար Ժան Ասելբորնի պատվին կազմակերպվել էր ընդունելություն: Միջոցառմանը ներկա էին նաև Հայաստանում Լյուքսեմբուրգի նորանշանակ պատվո հյուպատոս Սուրեն Զոհրաբյանը, ՀՀ Ազգային ժողովի Հայաստան-Լյուքսեմբուրգ բարեկամական խմբի ներկայացուցիչները, դեսպաններ եւ այլք:

ՀՀ արտաքին գործերի նախարար Էդվարդ Նալբանդյանն ընդգծեց, որ այս այցը կարեւոր է երկկողմ եւ բազմակողմ հարաբերությունների օրակարգը առաջ տանելու, համագործակցությունն ամրապնդելու համար: «Ի դեմս Լյուքսեմբուրգի՝ Հայաստանն ունի հետեւողական, սկզբունքային եւ վստահելի գործընկեր  ինչպես երկկողմ, այնպես էլ բազմակողմ հարթակներում: Կարող եք այսուհետ եւս վստահ լինել, որ Հայաստանի վերաբերմունքը խորապես փոխադարձ է: Երկու երկրների միջեւ հարաբերությունների զարգացման մեծ ներուժ կա, եւ այն լիովին օգտագործելը պետք է լինի մեր օրակարգային առաջին հարցերից: Պատվո հյուպատոսի գրասենյակի բացումն առաջին կարեւոր քայլն էր: Մեր կողմից կարվի առավելագույնը երկու երկրների միջեւ համակողմանի, փոխշահավետ համագործակցությունն առավել խորացնելու, զարգացնելու եւ ամրապնդելու ուղղությամբ»,- ասաց նա:

Լյուքսեմբուրգի արտաքին գործերի եւ եվրոպական հարցերի նախարար Ժան Ասելբորնը շեշտեց, որ այս օրը դեռ երկար կմնա իր հիշողության մեջ:

«Տարին շատ կարեւոր է Հայաստանի համար: Մի շարք հոբելյանական իրադարձությունների տարի է այն:  Ուրախ եմ, որ Մադագասկարում բազմաթիվ քննարկումներից հետո Հայաստանը ընտրվեց որպես Ֆրանկոֆոնիայի գագաթնաժողովը հյուրընկալող երկիր: Սա շատ կարեւոր իրադարձություն է լինելու:

Ուզում եմ նաեւ ասել, որ այսօր ես հնարավորոություն ունեցա տեսնել Արարատ լեռը. գիտեմ, որ սա հենց այն լեռն է, որի վրա Նոյ նահապետը իջավ ջրհեղեղի համար, եւ շատ ուրախ եմ, որ հենց Հայաստանից տեսա այդ լեռը: Կցանկանայի խոսել նաեւ Եվրամիության հետ Հայաստանի գործընկերության մասին:  Ասեմ, որ  ինչ-որ պահի մտավախություն ունեի՝ հաշվի առնելով ԵՄ եւ Ուկրաինայի միջեւ դժվարությունները, սակայն անցյալ տարի ստորագրվեց այդ համաձայնագիրը,  եւ ես կարծում եմ, որ այն նոր ուղի է բացում Հայաստանի համար ոչ միայն տնտեսական, այլեւ քաղաքական, մարդու իրավունքների, հիմնարար ազատությունների, իրավական պետության առումով: Կարծում եմ՝ Հայաստանի համար ամեն ինչ լավ է լինելու»,- եզրափակեց նա:
