Վիեննայում, իր հիմնադրման 50-ամյա հոբելյանը նշող Վիեննայի Արարատ մարզական միության և Ավստրիայում ՀՀ դեսպան Արման Կիրակոսյանի աջակցությամբ, մարտի 31-ից ապրիլի 1-ը տեղի ունեցան Եվրահայկական 23-րդ խաղերը, որին մասնակցելու համար Վիեննա էին ժամանել թիմեր Եվրոպայի մի շարք երկրների, ինչպես նաև ՌԴ-ի, Լիբանանի, Վրաստանի և Թուրքիայի հայաշատ 55 քաղաքներից:

Այս մասին տեղեկացրին ՀՀ արտաքին գործերի նախարարության մամուլի, տեղեկատվության և հասարակայնության հետ կապի վարչությունից:

Խաղերի բացման հանդիսավոր արարողությանը և դրանց հաջորդած միջոցառումներին մասնակցելու առիթով Վիեննա էր ժամանել ՀՀ սփյուռքի նախարար Հրանուշ Հակոբյանը:

Խաղերի պաշտոնական բացման արարողության ընթացքում՝ ի թիվս նախարար Հակոբյանի, Ավստրիայի խորհրդարանի անդամ Գուդրուն Քուգլերի, «Արարատ» մարզական միության պատվավոր նախագահ Սեպուհ Բաղոդյանի, խաղերի մասնակիցներին, կազմակերպիչներին և ավստրիահայ համայնքին իր ուղերձը փոխանցեց նաև Ավստրիայում ՀՀ դեսպան Արման Կիրակոսյանը: Նա ողջունեց հավաքվածներին և ընդգծեց, որ այս միջոցառումը շատ կարևոր է հայապահպանման, Հայաստան-Սփյուռք հարաբերությունների ամրապնդման առումով:

Դեսպան Կիրակոսյանը ելույթ ունեցավ նաև խաղերի փակման պաշտոնական արարողությանը: Նա, մասնավորապես, առանձնացրեց այն հանգամանքը, որ խաղերի ընթացքում ձեռք բերված բարեկամությունը խաղերի կարևորագույն նվաճումն է, որտեղ հիմնական հաղթողը հենց հայ ժողովուրդն է: Ապա, դեսպան Կիրակոսյանը Լոնդոնի երիտասարդական կազմակերպության թիմին հանձնեց «Արդար խաղի» համար դեսպանության կողմից սահմանած հատուկ մրցանակը:

Ավստրիայում ՀՀ դեսպանության կողմից «Հայաստան» կենտրոնում կազմակերպվեց նաև Սփյուռքի նախարար Հրանուշ Հակոբյանի հանդիպումը Վիեննայի հայ համայնքի կառույցների ու կազմակերպությունների ներկայացուցիչների հետ:
