ՀՀ զինված ուժերի զորավարժարաններից մեկում, 2018թ. պատրաստության պլանի համաձայն, անցկացվել է զորավարժություն 2-րդ բանակային զորամիավորման ենթակա ստորաբաժանումների ներգրավմամբ:

Ինչպես տեղեկացրին ՀՀ պաշտպանության նախարարության տեղեկատվության և հասարակայնության հետ կապերի վարչությունից, «Հակառակորդի հանկարծակի հարձակման դիմագրավումը և ոչնչացումը` կիրառելով նոր տեխնոլոգիաներ» թեմայով անցկացված զորավարժության նպատակն էր բանակային զորամիավորման զորամասերի, ուժեղացման և աջակցման ուժերի և միջոցների մարտական պատրաստականության բարձր աստիճանների բերման իրատեսության ստուգումը հակառակորդի հանկարծակի հարձակման պայմաններում, կառավարման մարմինների ներդաշնակվածության մակարդակի բարձրացումը: Զորավարժության ընթացքում հստակեցվել են նաև զորամիավորման պատասխանատվության գոտում պաշտպանության կազմակերպման և անվտանգության ապահովման հարցերը:

Ապրիլի 6-ին զորավարժության կրակային փուլին հետևել են ՀՀ պաշտպանության նախարար Վիգեն Սարգսյանը, ՀՀ ԶՈՒ գլխավոր շտաբի պետ, գեներալ-գնդապետ Մովսես Հակոբյանը, բարձրաստիճան զինվորականներ:

Համաձայն զորավարժության սցենարի` զորավարժարանում խաղարկվել են պայմանական հակառակորդի հարվածային խմբավորումների և հատուկ նշանակության ստորաբաժանումների հանկարծակի հարձակումը հետ մղելու գործողություններ: 

Բանակային զորամիավորումն ուժեղացման միջոցներով և ուժերով վարել է օջախային պաշտպանական մարտական գործողություններ, մարտավարական և բանակային ավիացիայի հարվածներով ու հրետանու կրակով խոցել հակառակորդի հատուկ նշանակության ստորաբաժանումները, հայտնաբերված պահեստազորը, օբյեկտներն ու նշանակետերը, վերականգնել դրությունը` հակառակորդին ստիպելով կնքել կրակի դադարեցման համաձայնագիր:
