Աղջկա սեռական առաջին հարաբերությունը համարյա միշտ կապված է որոշակի բարդությունների հետ, քանի որ տեղի է ունենում կուսաթաղանթի պատռում (դեֆլորացիա): 
Եթե աղջիկը մեջքին պառկած վիճակում ծալի ոտքերը և ծնկները կողք տանի ու մոտեցնի որովայնին, ապա առնանդամի ներթափանցումը նվազ ցավ կպատճառի: Ուժեղ ճնշումից հետո առաջանում է կուսաթաղանթի պատռվածք և արյան չնչին հոսք: Վերջինն անվտանգ է և կարելի է դադարեցնել բամբակի վիրախծուծով:

Գաղտնիք չէ, որ անխաթար կուսաթաղանթն աղջկա անմեղության, ողջախոհության նշան չէ, քանի որ երբեմն հանդիպում են սեռավարակներով տառապող «կույս» կանայք:
