«Անսահման դժվար է հոսանքին հակառակ գնալը, թեև ժողովրդի վստահությունը վայելող այլ գործիչներ էլ ենք տեսել՝ նաև տխուր վերջաբանով։ Անձամբ ես բարձր եմ գնահատում Նիկոլի անձնազոհությունն ու վճռականությունը, ես հավատում են նրա ձգտումների ազնվությանը, այսօրվա ելույթը, հարցերի պատասխաններն էլ այդ են վկայում։ Բայց ես երբեք անձերով չեմ առաջնորդվում, կուռքեր էլ չեմ ընդունում։ Ես վտանգի կանխազգացում ունեմ։

Այս պայմաններում չեմ կարող վստահ լինել, որ այս ամենը շատ ավելի մեծ խաղի, բարդ ու բազմաշերտ սցենարների համակցություն չէ՝ ինձ առայժմ անհայտ ծալքերով, շահերով ու հետևանքնրով։ Վստահ եղեք, ես առանց հիմքի ոչինչ չեմ ասում»,- այսօր ԱԺ հատուկ նիստում ՀՀ վարչապետի թեկնածուի քննարկման ժամանակ հայտարարեց ՀՅԴ խմբակցության քարտուղար Աղվան Վարդանյանը՝ չբացառելով անդառնալի հետևանքները։

Ըստ նրա՝ արտաքին քաղաքականության Փաշինյանի առաջնարհերթությունները նույնն են, ինչ իշխող կոալիցիայինը, իսկ ներքին քաղաքականությունում տարբերությունը փոքր է. «Տեմպերը մեզ էլ չէին գոհացնում, բայց մէծ հարց է՝ Փաշինյանի վարչապետության դեպքում այդ տեմպերը բավարարելո՞ւ են»։

Ա. Վարդանյանը նկատեց, որ անշրջելի է Սերժ Սարգսյանի հրաժարականը, մնում է Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի անձն ու ժողովրդի ցանկությունը։

Ա.Վարդանյանը հայտարարեց, թե չի կարող անձնական պատասխանատվություն ստանձնել և կողմ քվեարկել Փաշինյանին. «Հակառակ պարագայում երեսպաշտորեն խախտած կլինեմ խղճով ու համոզմունքներով քվեարկելու իմ սահմանադրական իրավունքը։ Անկեղծ ասած՝ սա ընտրություն էլ չի, ինձ 2 տարբերակ են թողել՝ քվեարկել կա՛մ Նիկոլին, կա՛մ Փաշինյանին։

Հարգելի՛ խորհրդարան, ես չեմ քվեարկելու, բայց սա հարցի մի կողմն է, ես դաշնակցական եմ, կուսակցություն ու խմբակցություն եմ ներկայացնում, որ կողմ քվեարկելու որոշում ունի։ Ինձ համար այս դժվար երկվությունից դուրս գալու մի ելք կա՝ եթե կուսակցությունը պահանջի, պատրաստ եմ վայր դնել մանդատս»։

Ա.Վարդանյանը բոլոր կողմերից պահանջեց բացառել ցանկացած բռնություն ու բախում. «Արյունը ոչ մեկին չի ներվելու։ Բանակցություններով գտնենք լուծումներ, միասին կազմակերպենք արտահերթ վստահելի ընտրություններ, երկիրը դուրս բերենք փակուղուց։ Գիտակցե՛ք, սա ես ասում եմ Հանրապետականներին, անցյալին վերադարձ չի լինելու։ Աստված տա, հնարավոր ողբերգության իմ կանխատեսումը իրականություն չդառնա»։
