Սոչիում տեղի ունեցած հանդիպման ժամանակ փաստացի ամենալեգիտիմ ղեկավարը Նիկոլ Փաշինյանն էր, ով մնացած ներկաներից ամենակարճն էր կառավարում երկիրը, սակայն ամենավստահն էր իր իշխանության վրա:

Սա էր պատճառը, որ ներկա գտնվող ղեկավարները առանձնահատուկ հարգանքով էին շփվում Փաշինյանի հետ, Բելառուսի նախագահը նույնիսկ իր անթաքույց հիացմունքն էր հայտնում:

Այդ հիացմունքը իրականում ոչ այնքան Փաշինյանն էր, որքան հայ ժողովրդինը…

Հավաքված ղեկավարները պարզապես սարսափում էին այն մտքից, որ իրենց հետ մեկ դահլիճում նստած Հայաստանի վարչապետի թիկունքին մի ամբողջ ազգ է կանգնած:
