Վարչապետ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանն ընդունել է Կիպրոսի Հանրապետության Ներկայացուցիչների պալատի նախագահ Դեմետրիս Սիլուրիսի գլխավորած պատվիրակությանը:

Ինչպես տեղեկացրին ՀՀ կառավարության տեղեկատվության և հասարակայնության հետ կապերի վարչությունից, ողջունելով հյուրերին՝ վարչապետ Փաշինյանը նշել է, որ Հայաստանի ու Կիպրոսի հարաբերություններն ունեն պատմական արմատներ, և երկու ժողովուրդների միջև ջերմության պակաս չի զգացվել: 

«Ուրախ եմ արձանագրել, որ մեր երկրները տարածաշրջանային հարցերի վերաբերյալ ունեն ընդհանուր տեսակետներ: Կարևորում ենք Կիպրոսի դերը Հայոց ցեղասպանության միջազգային ճանաչման և ցեղասպանությունների կանխարգելման ու դատապարտման գործում»,- ասել է Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը: Վարչապետը բարձր է գնահատել Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի հակամարտության հարցում Կիպրոսի դիրքորոշումը և աջակցությունը ԵԱՀԿ Մինսկի խմբի համանախագահողների ջանքերին: Գործադիրի ղեկավարն ընդգծել է, որ ՀՀ կառավարությունը շահագրգռված է Կիպրոսի հետ քաղաքական, տնտեսական, անվտանգության ոլորտներում փոխգործակցության հետագա զարգացմամբ և կարևորել է Կիպրոսի հետ փոխգործակցությունը նաև ՀՀ-ԵՄ հարաբերությունների շրջանակում:

Կիպրոսի Հանրապետության Ներկայացուցիչների պալատի նախագահը շնորհավորել է Նիկոլ Փաշինյանին ՀՀ վարչապետի պաշտոնում ընտրվելու կապակցությամբ և համոզմունք հայտնել, որ երկու երկրների համագործակցությունը այսուհետ նոր թափ կստանա:

«Վստահ եղեք, որ մենք Եվրոպական միությունում  կստանձնենք Հայաստանի ներկայացուցչի դերը և կփորձենք քայլեր իրականացնել համապարփակ և ընդլայնված գործընկերության համաձայնագրի վավերացման ու վիզաների ազատականացման գործընթացի ուղղությամբ»,- ասել է Դեմետրիս Սիլուրիսը: Վերջինս հեռանկարային է համարել համագործակցության ընդլայնումը անվտանգության, տնտեսության, կրթության, մշակույթի ոլորտներում և ավելացրել, որ դրան կարող է էապես նպաստել Կիպրոսի հայ համայնքը: Կիպրոսի Հանրապետության Ներկայացուցիչների պալատի նախագահն անհրաժեշտ է համարել գործարար կապերի սերտացման ու այս բնագավառում համագործակցության դաշտի ընդլայնմանն ուղղված քայլերի իրականացումը:

Վարչապետ Փաշինյանը և Դեմետրիս Սիլուրիսը կարևորել են Հայաստանի, Կիպրոսի և Հունաստանի միջև եռակողմ համագործակցության զարգացումը և հույս հայտնել, որ այս ուղղությամբ առաջիկայում կողմերը կշարունակեն ակտիվ աշխատել:

Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը խնդրել է իր ջերմ ողջույնները փոխանցել Կիպրոսի նախագահ Նիկոս Անաստասիադեսին և վերահաստատել աշնանը Երևանում կայանալիք Ֆրանկոֆոնիայի 17-րդ գագաթնաժողովին մասնակցելու հրավերը:

Հանդիպման ընթացքում զրուցակիցներն անդրադարձել են նաև երկուստեք հետաքրքրություն ներկայացնող մի շարք հարցերի:
