Միացյալ Թագավորության վարչապետի՝ Հայաստանում և Վրաստանում Առևտրի և ներդրումների հարցերով հանձնակատար, խորհրդարանական Մարկ Փրիթչարդի ղեկավարությամբ 2018 թվականի հունիսի 6-7-ին Հայաստանում կգտնվեն 10 բրիտանական գործարար ընկերություններ, որոնք կուսումնասիրեն վերականգնվող էներգետիկայի, ենթակառուցվածքների և քաղաքային զարգացման ոլորտներում երկկողմ առևտրի և ներդրումների համագործակցության հնարավորությունները:

Ինչպես տեղեկացրին ՀՀ-ում ՄԹ դեսպանությունից, երկօրյա ինտենսիվ ծրագիրը ներառում է հանդիպումներ Հայաստանի բարձրաստիճան պետական պաշտոնյաների և գործարար շրջանակի ներկայացուցիչների հետ, ինչպես նաև ՄԹ-Հայաստան գործարար համաժողով և անհատական հանդիպումներ բրիտանացի և հայ ձեռնարկատերերի միջև։

Բիզնես պատվիրակության այցից առաջ ՄԹ Առևտրի և ներդրումների հարցերով հանձնակատարն ասել է. «Անչափ ուրախ եմ, որ ղեկավարում եմ բիզնես պատվիրակության այս այցը Հայաստան։ Այն հիանալի հնարավորություն է ընձեռում բրիտանական բիզնես ոլորտի առաջատար բազմապիսի ընկերությունների հետ գործարար հարաբերությունների զարգացման համար: Հաշվի առնելով երկու կողմերի փորձառությունը՝ Միացյալ Թագավորության և Հայաստանի մասնագետներին համախմբելը իրապես խոստումնալից նախաձեռնություն է: Ես անհամբերությամբ սպասում եմ մասնակցելու միջոցառմանը»։

2017թ. սեպտեմբերին ՄԹ վարչապետ Թերեզա Մեյի կողմից Հայաստանում և Վրաստանում առևտրի և ներդրումների հարցերով հանձնակատար նշանակվելուց ի վեր պրն Փրիթչարդն արդեն չորրորդ անգամ է այցելելու Հայաստան: Իր նախորդ այցերի ընթացքում նա Հայաստանի պետական պաշտոնյաների և գործարար ոլորտի ներկայացուցիչների հետ քննարկել է Միացյալ Թագավորության և Հայաստանի միջև առևտրի և ներդրումների ծավալների զարգացման հնարավորությունը։

Պրն Փրիթչարդի նշանակումն ընդգծում է բրիտանական կառավարության հանձնառությունը Հայաստանի հետ երկկողմ առևտրի և ներդրումների խթանմանը։ Առևտրի հարցերով հանձնակատարները վարչապետի կողմից նշանակված խորհրդարանականներ են՝ ընտրված քաղաքական սպեկտրի տարբեր ներկայացուցիչներից: Նրանք զբաղվում են մեկ կամ ավելի նորահայտ շուկաներով, որոնցում ՄԹ կառավարությունն առևտրային և ներդրումային հնարավորություններ է տեսնում: Առևտրի հարցերով հանձնակատարները աջակցում են տնտեսական աճի խթանմանը՝ հիմնվելով ՄԹ-ի և այդ շուկաների միջև առկա հարաբերությունների վրա և առավելագույնի հասցնելով երկկողմ առևտուրը:
