ՀՀ ոստիկանությունը քաղաքացիներին հորդորում է կամավոր հանձնել ապօրինի պահվող զենք-զինամթերքը:

Այս առնչությամբ, ոստիկանության տարածած հայտարարության մեջ նաեւ ասվում է.

«Ոստիկանությունը հետեւողականորեն շարունակում է բնակչության մոտ ապօրինի պահվող զենք-զինամթերքի հայտնաբերման եւ առգրավման գործողությունները, սակայն այս գործընթացում առավել գնահատելի է քաղաքացիների կողմից զենքի կամավոր հանձնումը` որպես հանրային բարձր իրավագիտակցության ցուցիչ եւ ոստիկանություն-հասարակություն իրական գործընկերության արտահայտություն:

Անօրինական զենք պահելն ու կրելը ոչ միայն քրեորեն հետապնդելի է, այլեւ վտանգավոր: Վտանգավոր` առաջին հերթին պահողի ու կրողի, նրա հարազատների, հատկապես երեխաների համար:
