Հրեշը Մոնթ Այլնդից

1953 թվականի աշնանը Մոնթ Այլնդի ծովափում հայտնաբերվեց տարօրինակ էակի կմախք, սակայն կղզու բնակիչներին մեղադրեցին սուտ լուրեր տարածելու մեջ, քանի որ վերջիններս գլխի չէին ընկել իրենց գտածոն լուսանկարելու համար:

Մարդ-այծի յուրաքանչյուր հայտնությունն ուղեկցվել է հրեշավոր վայրագություններով. տեղացիները գտել են կտրված գլուխներով շների, իսկ մի անգամ անչափահասների խմբին հազիվ է հաջողվել փախչել և ազատվել հրեշի ճակերից:
