Մոտ 7 ժամ և 562 000 ԱՄՆ դոլար. Լոս Անջելեսում տեղի ունեցավ «Հայաստան հիմնադրամի»-ի 4-րդ ամենամյա դրամահավաքը Գյումրիի համար։ Սա նշանակում է, որ ևս մի քանի գյումրեցի ընտանիք ընդմիշտ կլքի դոմիկն ու կտեղափոխվի նոր ու հարմարավետ տուն։ Այս մասին «Արմենպրես»-ին տեղեկացրին հիմնադրամից:

Մեկ բնակարանի արժեքը մոտ 25 000 դոլար է։ Հեռուստամարաթոնին մասնակցել են ինչպես հիմնադրամի բարերարները, այնպես էլ աշխարհի տարբեր ծայրերում ապրող քաղաքացիներ։ Կոչով հանդես է եկել նաև Սփյուռքի նախարարը: Մխիթար Հայրապետյանն ընդգծել է, որ եկել է ժամանակը, երբ Հայաստանի Հանրապետությունը պետք է լինի ոչ թե գոյատևելու վայր, այլև արժանապատիվ ու երջանիկ ապրելու հայրենիք: «Դոմիկները Հայաստանում այլևս անելիք չունեն, սակայն դրան հասնելու համար հարկավոր է մեկտեղել մեր ջանքերը, լինել միասնական, մեկմեկու հանդեպ հոգատար: ՀՀ քաղաքացին պետք է լինի ու ապրի արժանապատիվ, դրան այլընտրանք չկա», - ասել է նախարար Հայրապետյանը:

Համահայկական հիմնադրամի աջակցությամբ 3 տարիների ընթացքում 38 ընտանիք է արդեն հրաժեշտ տվել տնակային կյանքին։ Իրենց հերթին սպասում են ավելի քան 2000-ը:
