700 տարի մենք մեծացել ու հպարտ հայեր ենք դարձել Հայ առաքելական եկեղեցու շնորհիվ, այն դարեր շարունակ պահել ու պահպանել է մեր պետականությունը, սերունդներին փոխանցել մեր ազգային ժառանգությունը: Այս մասին հուլիսի 7-ին Ծաղկաձորում անցկացվող «Դեպի հայրենիք, դեպի Սուրբ Էջմիածին» կարգախոսով հավաքի մասնակիցների հետ հանդիպմանն ասել է ՀՀ նախագահ Արմեն Սարգսյանը:

Համահայկական երիտասարդական հավաքը մեկնարկել է Ն.Ս.Օ.Տ.Տ. Գարեգին Բ Ծայրագույն Պատրիարք եւ Ամենայն Հայոց կաթողիկոսի աղոթքով։ «Դեպի հայրենիք, դեպի Սուրբ Էջմիածին» կարգախոսով անցկացվող հավաքը, որը կազմակերպվել է Ամենայն Հայոց կաթողիկոսի կողմից 2018 թվականը Երիտասարդության տարի հռչակելու ծրագրի շրջանակում, համախմբում է Հայաստանից ու Արցախից, ինչպես նաեւ աշխարհի ավելի քան 20 երկրից ժամանած շուրջ 400 երիտասարդների։

Հավաքի մասնակիցների հետ շփման ընթացքում հիմնականում անդրադարձ է կատարվել ազգային ինքնության, եկեղեցու եւ քրիստոնեության, հայրենասիրության թեմաներին։

Խոսելով հայկական ինքնության մասին՝ Արմեն Սարգսյանը նշել է, որ մեր ժողովրդի պատմությունը հպարտանալու շատ առիթներ է տալիս, եւ Հայաստանում տեղի ունեցած վերջին իրադարձությունները հպարտանալու նոր հնարավորություն են ստեղծում։

«Աշխարհում քիչ ազգեր ու պետություններ կան, որոնք կարողացել են հեղափոխական փոփոխություններ իրականացնել առանց ընդհարումների եւ արյան, քիչ են ժողովուրդները, որոնք այսքան հանդուրժող ու գիտակից կարող են լինել։ Մենք ունենք բազմաթիվ պատճառներ՝ լինելու հպարտ հայ, եւ վերջին իրադարձությունները եւս մեկ կաթիլ են ավելացնում մեր հպարտությանը»,- ավելացրել է Արմեն Սարգսյանը։

Անդրադառնալով քրիստոնեությանն ու եկեղեցու դերին՝ նախագահը նշել է, որ յուրաքանչյուրն ազատ է դավանանքի ընտրության հարցում, բայց նաեւ հիշեցրել, որ Հայ առաքելական եկեղեցին պարզապես եկեղեցի չէ. «700 տարի մենք մեծացել ու հպարտ հայեր ենք դարձել Հայ առաքելական եկեղեցու շնորհիվ, այն դարեր շարունակ պահել ու պահպանել է մեր պետականությունը, սերունդներին փոխանցել մեր ազգային ժառանգությունը»։

Արմեն Սարգսյանը սփյուռքահայ երիտասարդներին հորդորել է գալ Հայաստան, նվիրվել երկրին, ազգային ժառանգությունը պահպանելով՝ հզորացնել հայրենիքը։
