Ճապոնիայում մահապատժի են ենթարկել «Աում Սինրիկյո» ծայրահեղական աղանդի վեց անդամների: Ինչպես տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը, հուլիսի 26-ին այս մասին հայտարարել Է երկրի արդարադատության նախարարությունը:

«Մենք անցկացրեցինք (իրադրության) մանրակրկիտ վերլությություն, նախքան համապատասխան որոշում ընդունելը»,- հայտարարել Է երկրի արդարադատության նախարար Յոկո Կամիկավան, որն ստորագրել Է մահապատիժն ի կատար ածելու հրամանը: Այսպիսով Ճապոնիայի իշխանություններն ի կատար ածեցին մահվան դատավճիռներն աղանդի այն բոլոր անդամների նկատմամբ, որոնք ավելի վաղ դատապարտվել Էին առավելագույն պատժաչափի: Հուլիսի սկզբին Ճապոնիայում ի կատար են ածվել մահվան դատավճիռներն «Աում Սինրիկյոյի» յոթ ղեկավարների, ներարյալ դրա հիմնադիր Տիձուո Մացումոտոյի նկատմամբ, որը հայտնի Է Սյոկո Ասահարա անվամբ:

Ծայրահեղականների ամենահայտնի հարձակումը դարձել Է 1995 թվականի մարտի 20-ին գազային գրոհը Տոկիոյի մետրոյում, երբ աղանդի անդամները զարին փոշեցրեցին Տոկիոյի գետնուղու հինգ շարժակազմերում: Այն ժամանակ զոհվեց 13 մարդ, ավելի քան 6,3 հազար մարցդ տուժեց, հաղորդել Է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
