Որպես ցանկացած ժողովրդավար երկիր՝ Հայաստանը նվիրված է Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի հակամարտությունը բացառապես խաղաղ ճանապարհով կարգավորելու հանձնառությանը: Այս մասին Al-Jazeera հեռուստաընկերության հայտնի «Talk to Al Jazeera» ծրագրին տված հարցազրույցում ասել է ՀՀ վարչապետ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը:

Նա նշել է, որ Հայաստանում իշխանափոխության գործընթացից հետո  Ադրբեջանն ավելի ագրեսիվ է դարձել: «Մենք մեծ հնարավորություններ ունենք Հայաստանն ավելի ժողովրդավար դարձնելու, հավասար պայմաններ ստեղծելու, կոռուպցիայի և մենիշխանության դեմ պայքարելու հարցում: Ադրբեջանի նախագահ Իլհամ Ալիևը որոշ վախեր ունի, որ իր ժողովուրդը կարող է ոգեշնչվել Հայաստանի հեղափոխությունից ու փորձել նման փոփոխություններ անել նաև Ադրբեջանում: Կարծում եմ, որ Ադրբեջանի ագրեսիվ հռետորաբանության աճը կապված է այս իրադրության հետ»,- նշել է Փաշինյանը՝ ընդգծելով, որ ադրբեջանական իշխանությունները երկրի ներքին խնդիրներից բնակիչների ուշադրությունը փորձում են շեղել Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի հարցի միջոցով:

«Մենք պատրաստ ենք խաղաղ բանակցությունների: Ցանկանում եմ հստակեցնել սա. ես պատրաստ եմ բանակցել Ադրբեջանի նախագահ Իլհամ Ալիևի հետ»,- հայտարարել է ՀՀ վարչապետը՝ նշելով, որ պատրաստ է հանդիպել նրա հետ:

Նա խնդրի լուծման հարցում կարևորել է ԵԱՀԿ Մինսկի խմբի ձևաչափը: «Կարծում եմ, որ այս ձևաչափն ի զորու է հակամարտությունը լուծել խաղաղ ճանապարհով, եթե Հայաստանի ու Ադրբեջանի կառավարությունները համապատասխան քաղաքական կամք ցուցաբերեն:

Կարող եմ վստահեցնել ձեզ ու միջազգային հանրությանը, որ ինչպես ցանկացած ժողովրդավար կառավարություն, մենք իրական կամք ու ցանկություն ունենք հակամարտությունը խաղաղ կարգավորել և պատրաստ ենք բանակցել: Սակայն ցանկանում եմ շեշտել, որ մենք չենք պատրաստվում որևէ քայլի գնալ մի մթնոլորտում, որտեղ մեզ փորձում են վախեցնել»,- հայտարարել է վարչապետը:

Փաշինյանը կարևորել է տարածաշրջանում խաղաղության մթնոլորտի ձևավորումը: Նա ընդգծել է, որ ի տարբերություն Հայաստանի, որտեղ ատելության խոսք չի հնչում Ադրբեջանի ու ադրբեջանցիների նկատմամբ, պաշտոնական Բաքուն մշտապես ատելություն սերմանող հայտարարություններով է հանդես գալիս ու նման գործելաոճից չի խորշում անգամ նախագահ Իլհամ Ալիևը:
