Օգոստոսի 7-ին ԱԳ նախարար Զոհրաբ Մնացականյանն ընդունեց Հայաստանում Միավորված ազգերի կազմակերպության (ՄԱԿ) մշտական համակարգող և ՄԱԿ-ի զարգացման ծրագրի մշտական ներկայացուցիչ Շոմբի Շարփին՝ ՄԱԿ-ի բնակչության հիմնադրամի մշտական ներկայացուցչի պաշտոնը ստանձնելու հավատարմագրման նամակների հանձնման կապակցությամբ:

Ինչպես տեղեկացրին ՀՀ արտգործնախարարության մամուլի, տեղեկատվության և հասարակայնության հետ կապի վարչությունից, ողջունելով հյուրին՝ նախարար Մնացականյանն ընդգծեց, որ անդամակցությունից ի վեր Հայաստանն ակտիվ մասնակցություն է ունեցել ՄԱԿ-ի տարբեր ծրագրերում, և հանձնառու է կազմակերպության հետ հարաբերությունները շարունակել ձևավորված օրակարգի հիման վրա։

Շնորհակալություն հայտնելով ջերմ ընդունելության համար՝ Շոմբի Շարփը նշեց, որ կներդնի առավելագույն ջանքերը` աջակցելու Հայաստանում ընթացող բարեփոխումների գործընթացին։

Հանդիպմանը մտքեր փոխանակվեցին Կայուն զարգացման նպատակների իրականացման վերաբերյալ: Այդ համատեքստում Զոհրաբ Մնացականյանը և Շոմբի Շարփը գոհունակությամբ ընդգծեցին, որ Հայաստանը դրական առաջընթաց է արձանագրել Կայուն զարգացման օրակարգի և դրանից բխող նպատակների ու թիրախների իրականացման գործում, որոնք ամփոփվել են վերջերս կայացած ՄԱԿ-ի բարձր մակարդակի քաղաքական ֆորումի շրջանակներում ներկայացված Հայաստանի առաջին ազգային կամավոր զեկույցում։

Զրուցակիցները մտքեր փոխանակեցին Հայաստանում արտահերթ ընտրությունների անցկացման ուղղությամբ ձեռնարկվող քայլերի շուրջ։ Այս համատեքստում նախարար Մնացականյանը վերահաստատեց Հայաստանի իշխանությունների պատրաստակամությունը ընտրությունների պատշաճ կազմակերպման գործում սերտորեն համագործակցելու միջազգային գործընկերների, այդ թվում՝ ՄԱԿ-ի կառույցների հետ։

Նախարար Մնացականյանը ներկայացրեց Ֆրանկոֆոնիայի երևանյան գագաթաժողովի և դրա ընթացքում նախատեսվող զուգահեռ միջոցառումների նախապատրաստական աշխատանքները: Անդրադառնալով դեկտեմբերի 9-ին Երևանում կայանալիք «Ընդդեմ ցեղասպանության հանցագործության» երրորդ գլոբալ ֆորումի կազմակերպման ուղղությամբ իրականացվող քայլերին՝ նախարար Մնացականյանը նշեց, որ Հայաստանը հետևողական ջանքեր է գործադրելու այս ֆորումը ցեղասպանության կանխարգելման ևս մեկ հարթակի վերածելու ուղղությամբ։
