ԵԱՀԿ խորհրդարանական վեհաժողովի նախագահ Գեորգի Ծերեթելին, ամփոփելով Հայաստան կատարած երկօրյա այցը, ողջունել է երկրում ընտրական բարեփոխումներ իրականացնելուն ուղղված ջանքերը: Ինչպես «Արմենպրես»-ին տեղեկացրին ԵԱՀԿ ԽՎ գրասենյակից, նա վերահաստատել է ԵԱՀԿ և ԽՎ հանձնառությունը՝ աջակցելու Հայաստանի շարունակական ժողովրդավարական զարգացմանը:

«Այս տարի Հայաստանում կառավարության դրամատիկ փոփոխությունից հետո հայկական քաղաքական համակարգը նոր փորձաշրջան է անցնում: Ուրախ եմ տեսնել միասին կառուցողական աշխատանք տանելու քաղաքական ուժերի պատրաստակամությունը, իսկ ընտրական գործընթացների ծրագրված բարեփոումների պարագայում լայն կոնսենսուսը կրկնակի կարևոր է: Այս գործընթացի ողջ պատասխանատվությունը Հայաստանի ժողովրդի ու իշխանությունների ձեռքում է»,- ասել է Ծերեթելին՝ նշելով, որ ԵԱՀԿ-ն ու Խորհրդարանական վեհաժողովը շարունակելու են աջակցել այդ գործընթացին հանուն լավագույն արդյունքի:

Այցի շրջանակում նա ԵԱՀԿ ԽՎ գլխավոր քարտուղար Ռոբերտո Մոնտելայի հետ հանդիպել է ՀՀ նախագահ Արմեն Սարգսյանի, ԱԺ նախագահ Արա Բաբլոյանի, արտգործնախարար Զոհրաբ Մնացականյանի, խորհրդարանական ուժերի, քաղաքական հասարակության ներկայացուցիչների, ինչպես նաև ԵՊՀ ուսանողների հետ:

Այցի շրջանակում քննարկվել են հարցերի լայն շրջանակ, ինչպես օրինակ տնտեսական զարգացումը, ընտրական բարեփոխումները, կաշառակերության դեմ պայքարը, տարածաշրջանային հարաբերություններն ու ԵԱՀԿ ներսում Հայաստանի աշխատանքը: Ծերեթելին վերահաստատել է Խորհրդարանական վեհաժողովի աջակցությունը Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի հակամարտության կարգավորման գործընթացում ԵԱՀԿ Մինսկի խմբի ու դրա համանախագահների աշխատանքին: Նա ընդգծել է, որ այս հարցում հստակ արդյունքներ ու առաջընթաց գրանցելու պատասխանատվությունն ընկնում է ներգրավված կողմերի քաղաքական ղեկավարության վրա:

«Ինքս լինելով Հարավային Կովկասի տարածաշրջանից, ես հասկանում եմ այն մարտահրավերներն ու զգայունությունները, որոնք ազդում են Հայաստանի վրա: Հուսով եմ, որ իշխանությունները կօգտագործեն ԵԱՀԿ ողջ գործիքակազմը, որը կառույցն առաջարկում է՝ օգնելու երկրին լիարժեքորեն բավարարել ժողովրդի ակնկալիքները»,- ասել է ԵԱՀԿ ԽՎ նախագահը:

Տարածաշրջանում վեհաժողովի աշխատանքներին նպաստելու համար նա, ակնկալվում է, որ Հարավային Կովկասում առաջիկայում նշանակելու է ԵԱՀԿ խորհրդարանական վեհաժողովի նոր հատուկ ներկայացուցիչ:
