Մեծ Բրիտանիան կտրականապես մերժում է Բրեքսիթի հետագա տնտեսական համաձայնության բոլոր հնարավոր տարբերակները, որոնք առաջարկվել են Բրյուսելում, քանի որ դրանք չեն համապատասխանում Լոնդոնի շահերին:
 
Ինչպես հաղորդում է «ՌԻԱ Նովոստի»-ն, այս մասին սեպտեմբերի 21-ին հայտարարել է Մեծ Բրիտանիայի վարչապետ Թերեզա Մեյը` Զալցբուրգյան գագաթնաժողովից հետո:
 
Վարչապետի խոսքով` ԵՄ-ի հետագա տնտեսական հարաբերությունների վերաբերյալ առաջարկված գործարքի առաջին տարբերակը ենթադրում է, որ Մեծ Բրիտանիան պետք է շարունակի գործել Եվրոպական տնտեսական տարածքի (ԵՏՀ) եւ Եվրոպական Մաքսային միության շրջանակներում: Սա նշանակում է, որ Լոնդոնը կրկին կխաղա Եվրամիության կանոններով, ենթադրում են Մեծ Բրիտանիայում:
 
«Պարզ լեզվով ասած, նշանակում է, որ մենք ամեն դեպքում պետք է հետեւենք ԵՄ բոլոր կանոններին, ԵՄ-ից չվերահսկվող ներգաղթը կշարունակվի, եւ մենք չենք կարողանա կնքել առեւտրային գործարքներ, որոնք ցանկանում ենք կնքել այլ երկրների հետ: Սա կլինի երկու տարի առաջ անցկացված հանրաքվեի ծաղրանքը»,- ասել է Մեյը:
 
Բրյուսելի կողմից առաջարկվող երկրորդ տարբերակը, որը վերաբերվում էր ազատ առեւտրին եւ ԵՄ-ի եւ Մեծ Բրիտանիայի միջեւ սահմանների ստուգումներին, ևս ձեռնտու չէ Լոնդոնին:
 
«Հյուսիսային Իռլանդիան, ըստ էության, կմնա Մաքսային միության եւ Միասնական շուկայի (ԵՄ) մի մասը եւ տնտեսապես կառանձնանա Անգլիայի մնացած շրջաններից»,- նշել է վարչապետը:
 
Մեծ Բրիտանիայի կառավարության ղեկավարը կրկին դեմ է արտահայտվել Հյուսիսային Իռլանդիայի եւ Մեծ Բրիտանիայի միջեւ մաքսային սահմանի ստեղծմանը: «Սա մի բան է, որի հետ ես երբեք չեմ համաձայնի: Փաստորեն, իմ կարծիքով, սա այն բանն է, որի հետ չէր համաձայնվի Մեծ Բրիտանիայի և ոչ մի վարչապետ: Եթե ԵՄ-ն կարծում է, որ ես դա անելու եմ, նրանք սխալվում են»,- նշել է Մեյը:
 
Մեծ Բրիտանիան եւ Եվրամիությունը մինչեւ հոկտեմբերի վերջը պետք է լուծեն երեք կարեւոր հարցեր, որոնք թույլ կտան Բրեքսիթը համապատասխանեցնել Լոնդոնի եւ Բրյուսելի շահերին, վերջնականացնել Եվրամիությունից դուրս գալու մասին համաձայնագիրը, լուծել Իռլանդիայի հետ սահմանի հարցը եւ մշակել ապագա հարաբերությունների ձեւաչափը:
