Հայաստանի, Ռուսաստանի և Ադրբեջանի նախագահների` Սոչիում կայացած հանդիպման ընթացքում Վլադիմիր Պուտինի, այնուհետեւ նաև Սերգեյ Լավրովի հայտարարությունները վկայում են, որ Ռուսաստանն ու Մինսկի խմբի մյուս համանախագահները պարզ գիտակցում են, որ ազգերի ինքնորոշման սկզբունքը Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի հակամարտության խաղաղ կարգավորման բանալին է: Այս մասին «Արմենպրես»-ի հետ զրույցում ասաց պատմական գիտությունների թեկնածու Արամ Անանյանը:
«Վլադիմիր Պուտինը նշեց, որ հակամարտությունը ձևավորվել է վաղուց և Խորհրդային Միությունից մնացած ժառանգություն է` հավելելով, որ անհրաժեշտ են համբերություն, իմաստություն, փոխադարձ հարգանք՝ լուծում գտնելու համար:
Ռուսաստանի նախագահը տալիս է խնդրի ճշգրիտ ախտորոշումը: 1921թ.Արցախն Ադրբեջանին հանձնելով` բոլշևիկները սխալ գործեցին և ստեղծեցին խնդիրը, հետո Խորհրդային Միությունը փորձեց չնկատել այն, իսկ վերջում չկարողացավ լուծում գտնել, որովհետև գործնականում բացառում էր կամարտահայտության որևէ դրսևերում: Խոսելով կարգավորման արժեքային հենքի մասին` Պուտինը փաստում է, որ համանախագահները չեն պատրաստվում կրկնել պատմության սխալները, այլ ցանկանում են շտկել դրանք, հարգել ազգերի ինքնորոշման սկզբունքը»,- նշում է Անանյանը:
Հայաստանը հայտարարել է, որ հիմնախնդիրը պետք է լուծել փոխզիջման և Մինսկի խմբի համանախագահների առաջարկած սկզբունքների հիման վրա: Ազգերի ինքնորոշման սկզբունքն ամրագրված է դրանցում: «Հանդիպումից հետո` լրագրողների հետ զրույցում, Հայաստանի դիրքորոշումը փաստացի երկրորդեց նաև ՌԴ արտաքին գործերի նախարար Սերգեյ Լավրովը, հայտարարելով, որ խնդրի լուծումը համանախագահները տեսնում են բացառապես խաղաղ ճանապարհով, տարածքային ամբողջականության և ազգերի ինքնորոշման սկզբունքների նկատմամբ հարգանքի հիման վրա և այդ ճանապարհով շարժվելու հանձնառությունը վերահաստատվել է», -ասաց Անանյանը:
Պատմաբանը կարծում է, որ խնդրի խաղաղ կարգավորմանը հասնելու համար պաշտոնական Բաքուն վաղ թե ուշ պետք է գիտակցի, որ հիմնախնդիրն անհնար է կարգավորել առանց ազգերի ինքնորշման սկզբունքի` միջազգային համընդհանուր և համապարտադիր իրավական նորմի կիրառման:
