Այսօր ՀՀ-ում ԱՄՆ դեսպան Ռիչարդ Միլսը հայտարարեց Հայաստանին ուղղվող ԱՄՆ աջակցության ծավալների ավելացման մասին:

Ինչպես տեղեկացրին  Հայաստանում ԱՄՆ դեսպանությունից, վերջերս Միացյալ Նահանգները քաղաքական անցման հետ կապված հայաստանյան նախաձեռնություններին աջակցելու նպատակով 14 միլիոն ԱՄՆ դոլարի հավելյալ արտաքին աջակցության միջոցներ է տրամադրել Հայաստանին, իսկ առաջիկա տարվա ընթացքում Միացյալ Նահանգները մտադիր է տրամադրել  ավելի քան 26 միլիոն ԱՄՆ դոլար` 2018 ֆինանսաբյուջետային տարվա արտաքին աջակցության միջոցներից, որը 20 միլիոն դոլարով ավել է հայտով Հայաստանի համար սկզբնապես պահանջված ֆինանսավորումից:

Այս միջոցները կօժանդակեն քաղաքական գործընթացների հետ կապված  գերակա ծրագրերին, քաղաքացիական հասարակությանը և անկախ ԶԼՄ-ներին: Այդ միջոցները նաև կուղղվեն Վարչակազմի կողմից որպես արտաքին քաղաքականության գերակայություն սահմանված գործարար և առևտրային հնարավորությունների ընդլայնմանը՝ ամերիկյան և հայկական ընկերությունների համար, այդ թվում նաև աջակցելով էներգետիկ բարեփոխումներին, ինչպես նաև Հայաստանի արագ տեմպերով աճող տեղեկատվական տեխնոլոգիաների ոլորտին:

Հայաստանին ցուցաբերվող ԱՄՆ աջակցությունը ներառում է երկկողմ համագործակցության տարբեր ուղղությունները, այդ թվում՝ կառավարում, թափանցիկություն և հաշվետվողականություն, քաղաքական ներառում, օրենսդրական հզորացում և տեղական ինքնակառավարման բարեփոխումներ: Հայաստանի քաղաքական անցմանն աջակցելու համար այս ծրագրերը կօգնեն վերակառուցել բազմակուսակցական քաղաքական համակարգերը և կնպաստեն ազատ ու արդարացի ընտրություններին:  Աջակցությունը նաև ուղղվում է քաղաքացիական հասարակության հզորացմանն ու անկախ ԶԼՄ-ների հասանելիության բարելավմանը:

Տնտեսական աճի ասպարեզում ծրագրերի շրջանակում փորձ կարվի կայուն ու ընդգրկուն տնտեսական աճ ապահովել՝ աջակցելով տնտեսության աճի բարձր ներուժ ունեցող ճյուղերին, նպաստելով աշխատուժի կատարելագործմանը և խթանելով նորարարությունը: Աջակցություն կլինի նաև  էներգետիկ շուկայի ազատականացման բարեփոխումների և միջսահմանային առևտրի ու ինտեգրման հարցերում:
