Կարևորելով սպորտի դերը մեր կյանքում, կատարենք մի փոքրիկ անդրադարձ ներկայիս սպորտում տիրող իրավիճակին:
Ինչպես հայտնի է բոլորիս սպորտում իր մեծ ավանդն ունի ներդրած ՀԱՕԿ նախագահ Գագիկ Ծառուկյանը: Երկար տարիներ զբաղվելով սպորտով և տեսնելով թե Հայաստանյան սպորտային աշխարհում, որքան բացթողումներ կան, իր առջև նպատակ է դրել Հայաստանում զարգացնելու մարզական կյանքը, ինչպես նաև ավելի մեծ թվով հայ մարզիկների ներգրավվելու սպորտային աշխարհ:
Ինչպես բազմիցս անգամներ իր ելույթներում նշել է Գագիկ Ծառուկյանը, սպորտը պետք է զարգացնել ոչ միայն մայրաքաղաքում այլ նաև մարզերում: Եվ ահա հայրենական սպորտի ղեկավարի հորդորով, Արմավիրի մարզում ամիսներ առաջ բացվեց «Օլիմպ Սպորտ» մարզահամալիրը, որը մեծ նվեր էր հատկապես բազկամարտիկների համար: 
Շարունակելով խոսել ՀԱՕԿ նախագահի սպորտային աշխարհում ունեցած մեծ ներդրման մասին, ուզում եմ անդրադարձ կատարել նաև Դսեղում սպորտի զարգցմանն ուղղված աշխատանքներին: Սեպտեմբերի 26-ին Դսեղ կատարած այցի ժամանակ, Գագիկ Ծառուկյանը ծանոթացավ նաև այնտեղի մարզադպրոցի անբարեկարգ վիճակին և կողմնակից լինելով սպորտի համաչափ զարգացմնաը մարզերում և քաղաքներում, խոստացավ շատ կարճ ժամանակամիջոցում լուծել այդ խնդիրը: Սակայն շատերի մոտ կար դյուրահավատություն՝ խոստացված սեղմ ժամկետների հետ կապված, բայց այսօր արդեն մարզադպրոցն ամբողջությամբ վերանորոգվել է և հանձնվել է շահագործման: Սա սպորտում նրա ունեցած մեծ ավանդի միայն մի չնչին հատվածն է , ոչ մեկիս համար էլ գաղտնիք չէ, որ տարիներ շարունակ Գագիկ Ծառուկյանը խթան է հանդիսանում Հայաստանում սպորտը զարգացնելու և ավելի բարձր մակարդի վրա կանգնեցնելու համար:
