Պահպանելով հայ և ռուս ժողովուրդների միջև դարավոր բարեկամական կապերը, Գագիկ Ծառուկյանը օրեր առաջ աշխատանքային այցով Ռուսաստանի Դաշնությունում էր։Հայաստանի և Ռուսաստանի միջև կապերի խորացման ու ամրապնդման նպատակով հանդիպումներ եղան ՌԴ Պետդումայի նախագահ Վյաչեսլավ Վոլոդինի, ինչպես նաև Ռուսաստանում ԲՀԿ-ի հիմնական գործընկեր-կուսակցություն՝ «Եդինայա Ռոսսիա» խմբակցության ղեկավար Սերգեյ Նեվերովի և կուսակցության նախագահության անդամ Անդրեյ Կլիմովի հետ։Կողմերի միջև ձեռք բերված պայմանավորվածությունները և տարբեր ոլորտներում երկկողմ համագործակցությանն ուղղված ծրագրերի նախաձեռնումը ուրախացնող հանգամանք է, քանզի նմանօրինակ գործակցությունը ոչ միայն մի շարք դրական ազդեցություններ կթողնի Ռուսաստանի Դաշնությունում հայկական համայնքի և հայ-ռուսական դիվանագիտական հարաբերությունների վրա, այլ նաև բավականին լավ հնարավորություններ կընձեռնի երկու կուսակցությունների երիտասարդ ներկայացուցիչներին իրենց գործում զարգանալու և երկրին պիտանի լինելու համար։Ինչ խոսք, այս երկու կուսակցությունների միջև տասնյակ տարիների համագործակցությունը հավատ է ներշնչում, որ կուսակցությունների առաջնորդները ոչինչ չեն խնայի և կանեն հնարավոր ամեն բան երկու երկրների միջև հետագա համագործակցությունը բարձր մակարդակով, հայ և ռուս ժողովուրդների արժեհամակարգին վայել և համապատասխան կազմակերպելու համար։
Հատկանշական է, որ ՌԴ պետդումայում իշխող կուսակցությունը հույս հայտնեց, որ Գագիկ Ծառուկյանին և իր քաղաքական թիմին կհաջողվի արտահերթ խորհրդարական ընտրություններում բարձր արդյունքների հասնել, ինչն էլ իր հերթին կնպաստի միջկուսակցական գործացկության շրջանակների լայնացմանը
