Պորտուգալիայի հավաքականի գլխավոր մարզիչ Ֆեռնանդու Սանտուշին Հայաստանի հավաքականի դեմ հանդիպման նախախաղային ասուլիսում լրագրողները մի քանի հարց են ուղղել կազմի մասին և արդյոք Պեպեն ու Բրունո Ալվեշն են խաղալու պաշտպանության կենտրոնում, սակայն մարզիչը խուսափել է կազմի մասին պատասխաններից.
«Ինձ համար կարևոր է այն, որ ես երջանիկ մարդ եմ: Մարզում եմ իմ երկրի հավաքականն ու 24 հիանալի ֆուտբոլիստ ունեմ իմ տրամադրության տակ: Բոլոր ֆուտբոլիստներն էլ ինձ մեծ վստահություն են ներշնչում,- ասել է նա մեկնարկում: - Գիշերը շատ լավ կքնեմ, քանի որ գիտեմ, որ այն 11 ֆուտբոլիստներն, ովքեր դաշտ դուրս կգան, հիանալի կկատարեն իրենց աշխատանքը»:
Ֆեռնանդո Սանտուշն ընդգծել է, որ երկու կամ երեք հարձակվողով խաղալն էական չէ և խաղային համակարգը չի վճռորոշը հաջողության հասնելու գործում. «Ինձ համակարգը շատ քիչ է բան է ասում: Խաղաս դասական 4x4x2, 4x3x3 կամ 3x5x2: Ամենակարևորը խաղային դինամիկան է: Գիտենք, որ հակառակորդը պաշտպանվում է հինգ ֆուտբոլիստով, հետևաբար շատ ֆուտբոլիստներ է պահում գնդակից հետ, այնպես որ ավելի հաճախ կտեսնենք 4x3x3 կամ 4x4x2 խաղացով թիմ: Բայց կցանկանայի տեսնել 3x3x4 մարտավարությամբ խաղացող թիմ,- կատակել է մարզիչը: - Երեք հոգի պաշտպանությունում, երեք հոգի կիսապաշտպանությունում, երեք հոգի մրցակցի տուգանային հրապարակում և մեկ հոգի, ով գնդակներ կփոխանցի տուգանային հրապարակ»:
Այն հարցին, թե արդոք որևէ ֆուտբոլիստի նկատմամբ անհատական հսկողություն լինելու է թե ոչ, Սանտուշը պատասխանել է. «Մենք հարգում ենք Հայաստանի հավաքականի բոլոր ֆուտբոլիստներին և գիտենք նրանց որակները, սակայն որևէ մեկին առանձնակի չենք հսկելու: Ես երբեք այդ կերպ չեմ խաղացել»,- ասել է մարզիչը:
Մարզիչը հավաստիացրել է, որ Պորտուգալիայի հավաքականը կտարբերվի նախորդ խաղերից. «Եթե հարցնում եք, թե արդյոք մարտավարությունը կտարբերվի Դանիայի դեմ խաղից, ապա այո: Հաստատ տարբեր կլինի: Հուսով եմ, որ մշտապես երկու-երեք ֆուտբոլիստներ կունենամ մրցակցի տուգանային հրապարակում: Հաստատ մեկ հոգի չի լինի»:
