Փետրվարի 14-ին Հայաստանյայց Առաքելական Սուրբ Եկեղեցին նշելու է Տեառնընդառաջի տոնը, որը խորհրդանշում է 40-օրյա մարդեղացյալ Աստվածորդու՝ մանուկ Հիսուսի ընծայումը տաճարին։
Տերունական տոնի սկիզբն ազդարարվեց փետրվարի 13-ի երեկոյան։ Մայր Աթոռ Սուրբ Էջմիածնի միաբանությունը Ս. Գայանե վանքում մասնակցեց Երեկոյան ժամերգության: Հավարտ ժամերգության, հանդիսապետությամբ Մայր Աթոռի Վարչատնտեսական բաժնի տնօրեն Գերաշնորհ Տ. Մուշեղ եպիսկոպոս Բաբայանի, տեղի ունեցավ նախատոնակ, ապա կատարվեց նաև տարվա առաջին Անդաստանի արարողությունը, որի ընթացքում օրհնվեցին աշխարհի չորս կողմերը: Այս մասին տեղեկանում ենք Մայր Աթոռի տեղեկատվական համակարգի տնօրեն Տեր Վահրամ քահանա Մելիքյանի ֆեյսբուքյան էջից։


Այնուհետև «Քրիստոս փառաց» հոգեզմայլ տաղի ներքո Ս. Գայանեի խորանի կանթեղից վառված մոմով Մուշեղ Սրբազանը Հիսուս Քրիստոսին խորհրդանշող կենսատու լույսը փոխանցեց ներկա հավատավոր ժողովրդին:
Արարողությունից հետո եկեղեցականաց թափորն ուղղվեց դեպի Մայր Աթոռի միաբանական շենքի շրջափակ, ուր, ներկայությամբ բազում հավատացյալ հայորդիների, ձեռամբ Մայր Աթոռի Լուսարարապետ Գերաշնորհ Տ. Հովնան եպիսկոպոս Հակոբյանի, վառվեց Տեառնընդառաջի խարույկը: 


Խարույկի շուրջ Մայր Աթոռ Սուրբ Էջմիածնի Գևորգյան հոգևոր ճեմարանի սաները հանդես եկան հոգևոր և ազգային երգերի կատարումներով:
Տարիներ առաջ Տեառնընդառաջի տոնը Ն.Ս.Օ.Տ.Տ. Գարեգին Երկրորդ Ծայրագույն Պատրիարք և Ամենայն Հայոց Կաթողիկոսի կողմից հռչակվել է որպես նորապսակների օրհնության օր: Այս առիթով փետրվարի 14-ին` եկեղեցիներում մատուցվող Ս. Պատարագի ավարտին, կկատարվի նորապսակ զույգերի օրհնության հատուկ կարգ:
