Լեհաստանի ամենաընթերցվող և ազդեցիկ «Gazeta Wyborcza» թերթն անդրադարձել է հայ-ադրբեջանական սահմանին լարվածության շիկացմանը և Ադրբեջանում մարդու իրավունքների և հիմնարար ազատությունների խախտումների համար իշխանություններին քննադատող իրավապաշտպանների շարունակական ձերբակալություններին' փորձելով բացահայտել կապը այս երկու իրադարձությունների միջև: Թերթի հետ զրույցում' Ադրբեջանցի լրագրող Մովսունա Հաջիջևան կարծիք է հայտնել, որ նույն ժամանակահատվածում այլախոհ իրավապաշտպանների բանտարկությունները և հայ-ադրբեջանական բախումների ինտենսիվացումը պատահական չեն: «Վարչակարգն օգտագործում է Հայաստանի հետ վերահաս պատերազմի հավանականությունը' իշխանության քննադատների հետ հաշվեհարդար տեսնելու համար: Երբ սահմանին լարված իրավիճակ է, Հայաստանի ծառայությունների հետ համագործակցության մեղադրանքները խիստ կարևոր են դառնում և շատ ավելի է դժվարանում պաշտպանել մեղադրյալներին»,- «Արմենպրես»-ի հաղորդմամբ' «Gazeta Wyborcza& raquo;-ին ասել է Հաջիջևան:
Ադրբեջանի խաղաղության և ժողովրդավարության ինստիտուտի տվյալներով, այդ երկրում քաղաքական բանտարկյալների թիվը հասել է 130-ի, որոնցից 41-ը խղճի բանտարկյալներ են: Եվ դա այն պարագայում, որ այդ երկիրը ներկայումս նախագահում է Եվրոպայի խորհրդի նախարարների կոմիտեն. կազմակերպություն, որի ճշմարիտ արժեքներ են ժողովրդավարությունն ու մարդու իրավունքները:
Մեկ այլ ադրբեջանցի լրագրող Խաթիջա Իսմայիլովայի գնահատմամբ' Արևմուտքը շատ մեղմ է վերաբերվում Ադրբեջանի ռեժիմին' աշխարհաքաղաքական պատճառներով: «Իլհամ Ալիևն իր անկախությունն է ցուցադրում Մոսկվայից, և Արեւմուտքը պարզապես վախենում է հիասթափեցնել նրան, որպեսզի չմղի նրան Պուտինի ձեռքը»,-կարծում է Իսմայիլովան: Ադրբեջանի նախագահը հաճախ է հյուրընկալվում եվրոպական մայրաքաղաքներում: Միայն այս տարի նա պաշտոնական այցով եղել է Իտալիայում, Ֆրանսիայում, Հունաստանում և Շվեյցարիայում:
Օգոստոսի 8-ի երեկոյան Բաքվում ձերբակալվել է «Իրավական լուսավորման միություն» ոչ կառավարական կազմակերպության ղեկավար, իրավապաշտպան Ինտիգամ Ալիևը. նրա դեմ ներակայացվել է շինծու մեղադրանք: Ինչպես հաղորդում է «Gazeta Wyborcza»-ն, Ինտիգամ Ալիևը խանգարում էր իշխանություններին, քանի որ պաշտպանում էր բազմաթիվ ադրբեջանցի քաղաքական բանտարկյալների: Մարդու իրավունքների եվրոպական դատարանում նա 42 գործ է վարել Ադրբեջանի դեմ վերջին խորհրդարանական ընտրությունների ժամանակ ընտրակեղծիքների մեղադրանքով: Ալիևը չորրորդ իրավապաշտպանն է, ով շինծո ւ մեղադրանքով կալանավորվել է Ադրբեջանում վերջին երկու շաբաթվա ընթացքում:
Ավելի վաղ' հուլիսի 30-ին, ադրբեջանական ոստիկանությունը ձերբակալել է 59-ամյա Լեյլա Յունուսովային' նրան մեղադրելով «Ադրբեջանի դեմ հայերի հետ համագործակցելու» մեջ: Օրեր անց նույն մեղադրանքով ձերբակալվել է նրա ամուսինը' ադրբեջանցի հայտնի քաղաքագետ Արիֆ Յունուսը:
«Երկու շաբաթ հայ-ադրբեջանական սահմանին անհանգիստ լարված իրադրություն է: Լայնածավալ պատերազմը մազից է կախված»,-գրել է թերթը:
