Դժվարանում եմ ասել՝ Ռուբեն Հախվերդյանը տեղյա՞կ չէ, թե պարզապես թքած ունի այն բանի վրա, որ իր մասսայականությամբ առաջին հերթին պարտական է Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի մարզային ռադիոյին, մասնավորապես՝ արցախցի ռեժիսոր Վիգեն Բադալյանին ու ձեր խոնարհ ծառային՝ լրագրող Մարսել Պետրոսյանին: Բանն այն է, որ Ռուբեն Հախվերդյանի ստեղծագործությունները, չնայած ստուդիական բարձրորակ ձայնագրություններին, որն իրականացվել է խորհրդային շրջանում Հայաստանի ռադիոյի երաժշտական հաղորդումների գլխավոր խմբագիր Արմեն Հովհաննիսյանի ջանքերով, երկար տարիներ գրաքննիչների կողմից փականքի տակ էր:

70-ականներին, երբ ես Արցախի ռադիոյի երիտասարդական հաղորդումների խմբագիրն էի, Վիգեն Բադալյանը 45 րոպեանոց ստուդիական ժապավեն տվեց ու առաջարկեց լսել: Մի քանի ամիս շարունակ տարբեր հաղորդումներում, սկզբնական շրջանում հատվածների, հետո ամբողջական կատարումների տեսքով ներկայացրի Ռուբեն Հախվերդյանի ստեղծագործությունները՝հիմք ստեղծելով հետագա լիարժեք համերգներ եթեր հեռարձակելու համար: Որքան հիշում եմ, մեկուկես տարի հետո միայն, վկայակոչելով Արցախից հնչած կատարումները,  Հայաստանի ռադիոյում նրա ձայնագրություններից հանվեց գրաքննության արգելքը, և առաջին անգամ եթերում հնչեցին Ռուբեն Հախվերդյանի գործերը: 

Արմեն Հովհաննիսյանը, Վիգեն Բադալյանը և ես,  գոհ մնացինք մեր արարքից ու գործից, որովհետև մեզ հաջողվել էր համատեղ ջանքերով թասիբի գցել Հայաստանի իշխանություններին ու  կալանքից ազատել  Ռուբեն Հախվերդյանի ստեղծագործությունները: Մենք երեքով գիտեինք՝ ինչ ենք անում: Հետևանքների մասին չէինք էլ մտածում: Չեմ կարծում, թե Ռուբեն Հախվերդյանը գիտակցում էր, թե ինչ է խոսում: Իսկ եթե, այնուամենայնիվ, գիտակցում էր, ավելի վատ իր համար, քանի որ այդպես են խորհում, մտածում ու արտահայտվում միայն ադրբեջանցիները: Սակայն չենք ուզում հավատալ, թե Հախվերդյանը ցանկություն ուներ կրկնել նրանց կարծիքն ու ջուր լցնել թշնամու ջրաղացին: Ի վերջո, նորից կրկնենք, Ռուբեն Հախվերդյանը թող երբեք չմոռանա, որ նրա կատարումներն առաջին անգամ հնչել են Արցախի, ապա նոր միայն Հայաստանի ռադիոյով: Մեկնաբանություններն ավելորդ են:
