nsn.fm-ը գրում է, որ ըստ ԵԱՏՄ տնտեսական հանձնաժողովի նախագահ Տիգրան Սարգսյանի, ԵԱՏՄ-ում նախատեսում են հեռախոսակապի ռոումինգը հանել: Այնուամենայնիվ, նա ժամկետներ նշելուց հրաժարվել է՝ կապված խնդրի տեխնիկական կողմի հետ: Mobile Research group-ի փորձագետ Էլդար Մուրթազինը nsn -ին տված հարցազրույցում նկարագրել է, թե ինչպես են իշխանությունները և օպերատորները ռոումինգի շնորհիվ փող աշխատում: Ըստ նրա, Ռուսաստանը չորս տարի է՝ բանակցում է ռոումինգը հանելու համար, սակայն բախվում է մյուս երկրների անհամաձայնությանը: Այսօր ռոումինգը ԵԱՏՄ երկրների, այդ թվում՝ Բելառուսի և Հայաստանի հետ, որոշվում է բջջային օպերատորների հավել յալ գումար վաստակելու ցանկությամբ, քանի որ Ռուսաստանում կենսամակարդակը բարձր է, նրանք բարձր գներ են սահմանել ռոումինգի համար և վաստակում են Ռուսաստանից այդ երկրներ այցելած զբոսաշրջիկների հաշվին: Դրա պատճառով էլ Ռուսաստանի կողմից ռոումինգը վերացնելու բոլոր փորձերը ձախողվում են այլ պետությունների իշխանությունների անհամաձայնության պատճառով, քանի որ նրանք չեն ցանկանում կորցնել բավականին շոշափելի եկամտի մի կետ բյուջեում: Փորձագետի գնահատմամբ, ռուսների համար ԵԱՏՄ երկրներում ռոումինգի գինը զգալի բարձր է, քան եվրոպական երկրներում: Նա նաև նշել է ԵԱՏՄ երկրների՝ ռոումինգից հրաժարվելու հնարավոր պայմանները` շեշտելով, որ 2019 թվականին այդ իրադարձությանը պետք չէ սպասել: Հավանաբար, անհրաժեշտ է սպասել մինչև 2022 թվականը, մինչև Բելառուսի տեխնիկական ինտեգրումը: Այդ պարագայում օպերատորական ցանցերը կմիավորվեն միասնական առանցքային տարածության մեջ, սակայն մինչև դա խոսել ռոումինգի վերացման մասին, անիմաստ է:
