«Մանկական եվրատեսիլ 2014»-ն այլևս պատմություն է: Հեղինակավոր մրցույթը եզրափակվեց, իսկ հաղթական դափնին ուղևորվեց Իտալիա: Մրցույթում հաղթեց Վինչենցո Կանտյելոն «Tu primo grande amore» երգով: Հայաստանի պատվիրակ 11-ամյա Բեթթին՝ իր «Արևի մարդիկ» երգով, զբաղեցրեց երրորդ հորիզոնականը:
«Արմենպրես»-ի փոխանցմամբ՝ նոյեմբերի 15-ի մրցույթը հայ հեռուստադիտողի համար մեկնաբանեց Առաջին ալիքի հաղորդավար Ավետ Բարսեղյանը: Այն հնարավոր էր լսել նաև Հանրային ռադիոյի եթերում՝ Երևանում 107.7 հաճախականությամբ:
Բեթթին ստացավ 12 միավոր՝ Բելառուսից, Բուլղարիայից, Վրաստանից, Ուկրաինայից, Ռուսաստանից, Մալթայից, 10 միավոր՝ Նիդեռլանդներից, 8 միավոր Շվեդիայից, Սլովենիայից, 7 միավոր՝ Սան Մարինոյից, 6 միավոր՝ Խորվաթիայից, Կիպրոսից, Սերբիայից, 2 միավոր Մոնտենեգրոյից, Իտալիայից: Մրցույթի ընթացքում մեր երկրի միավորները հայտարարեց «Մանկական եվրատեսիլ-2013»-ի հայաստանյան մասնակից Մոնիկա Ավանեսյանը:
Փոքրիկ Բեթթիին «Արևի մարդիկ» («People of the sun») երգի պատրաստման ընթացքում օգնել են երգահան Մանե Հակոբյանը, խոսքերի հեղինակ Ավետ Բարսեղյանը և գործիքավորող Մարտին Միրզոյանը:
Մրցույթի մասնակից պետությունները 16-ն էին՝ Հայաստան, Վրաստան, Բելառուս, Բուլղարիա, Կիպրոս, Իտալիա, Մալթա, Մոնտենեգրո, Ռուսաստան, Սերբիա, Շվեդիա, Սլովենիա, Նիդերլանդներ, Խորվաթիա, Սան Մարինո եւ Ուկրաինա: Մրցույթն այս տարի անցկացվեց #together (միասին) կարգախոսի ներքո: Բացի այդ, մրցույթի բոլոր մասնակիցները երգեցին մրցույթի համար հատուկ գրված «Together» երգը:
Մրցույթը վարեց հաղորդավարուհի Մոյրա Դելիան: Իր ելույթներով շոուն զարդարեց նաև նախորդ տարվա «Մանկական եվրատեսիլ»-ի հաղթող, Մալթայի ներկայացուցիչ Գայա Կաուկին:
Մրցույթի այս տարվա տարբերանշանը խորհրդանշում էր Մալթայի 8 կետանի խաչը, որի տարբեր մասնիկները գույներ ստացած միանում են իրար` ստեղծելով մեկ գաղափար` միասնություն: Գույները խարհրդանշում են Մալթայի բնությունը` ծովը, ավազը, քարերը, խոտը, երկինքն, մթնշաղն ու արեւամուտը:
