1. Ճապոնիայում հատուկ ազգային տոն գոյություն ունի, որը կոչվում է «Տարեց մարդկանց հարգանքի օր»: Ամեն սեպտեմբերի երրորդ երկուշաբթին ազգային տոն է, որն ստեղծվել է՝ պատվելու և արտահայտելու գնահատումը տարեցների հանդեպ: Դա ազատ օր է, և ավանդաբար այդ օրը տոնական ընթրիքից հետո նվերներ են տալիս տատիկ-պապիկներին:

6. 60 տարեկան դառնալը Կորեայում մեծ գործ է, քանի որ 60 տարին համարվում է Ասիական կենդանակերպի ամբողջական փուլ: 60–ամյա հոբելյանը նշվում է ամենամեծ տոնակատարությամբ: Դա նաև այն տարիքն է, երբ մարդիկ կարող են թոշակի անցնել` թույլ տալով որդիներին՝ պահել իրենց:
7. Ճապոնիայում տարեց մարդկանց կենդանիների համար խնամքի կենտրոն է գործում: Այն տարեցները, ովքեր այլևս չեն կարողանում խնամել իրենց ընտանի կենդանիներին կամ նման կենդանի են որդեգրում՝ մենությունը հաղթահարելու համար, կարող են նրանց հանձնել խնամքի կենտրոն:
