Այսօր Հայ Առաքելական եկեղեցին Ծաղկազարդ է նշում, որը խորհրդանշում է Քրիստոսի հաղթական մուտքը Երուսաղեմ։ Սովորաբար եկեղեցին տոնը նշում է Ս. Հարության տոնին նախորդող կիրակի օրը:

 Տոնի առթիվ այսօր բոլոր առաքելական եկեղեցիներում մատուցվում է սուրբ պատարագ, մարդիկ իրենց հետ բերում են ձիթենու և ուռենու ճյուղեր, որոնք եկեղեցում օրհնելուց հետո տանում են տուն:

Ծաղկազարդի օրը հայոց եկեղեցիները զարդարվում են ուռենու ճյուղերով, առավոտյան կատարվում է ժամերգություն և Անդաստանի կարգ, որից հետո օրհնված ճյուղերը բաժանվում են հավատացյալ ժողովրդին, որոնք պահվում էին մինչև հաջորդ Ծաղկազարդ։ Դրանց վերագրվում էր բարիքի, առատության, պտղաբերության հմայական զորություն։

 Հավատալով, որ դրանցով կավելանա յուղը, կբարձրանա կաթնատվությունը, ձվատվությունը, դրանք դրվել են խնոցում, մսուրքում, հավանոցում և այլն։ Անդաստանի արարողությամբ օրհնվում են աշխարհի չորս կողմերը, մասնավորապես Հայոց Հայրապետությունը, հայրենիքը, քաղաքներն ու գյուղերն իրենց բնակիչներով, վանքերը, արտերը և տարվա պտղաբերությունը։ Այն տարվա մեջ կատարվում է 25 անգամ։

Ծաղկազարդի երեկոյան կատարվում է Դռնբացեքի արարողությունը, որի ընթացքում, «Բաց մեզ, Տէր զդուռն ողորմութեան» շարականի ներքո բացվում են եկեղեցիների խորանների վարագույրները՝ խորհրդանշելով  Տիրոջ երկրորդ գալուստը, աշխարհի վախճանը և Վերջին դատաստանը։ Ժամանակին այս արարողությունը կատարվել է եկեղեցու փակ դռան առջև։ Կարդացվում է «Երգ Երգոցի» մի հատվածն ամբողջությամբ: Ծաղկազարդի օրը Ն.Ս.Օ.Տ.Տ. Գարեգին Բ Ամենայն Հայոց Կաթողիկոսի տնօրինությամբ հռչակված է որպես մանուկների օրհնության օր, քանի որ Տիրոջ՝ Երուսաղեմի տաճար մտնելու ժամանակ մանուկներն աղաղակում էին՝ ասելով. «Օրհնությո՜ւն, Դավթի որդուն»։

Ծաղկազարդի տոնից հետո՝ երկուշաբթիից մինչև Սուրբ Հարության տոնը կոչվում է Ավագ շաբաթ:
