Արցախի հերոս, գեներալ-մայոր Սամվել Կարապետյանը հանդես է եկել հայտարարությամբ, որը ներկայացնում է «Արցախպրես»-ը:

«Սիրելի հայրենակիցներ, այսօր որոշ լրատվամիջոցների կողմից տարածված «տեղեկությունն» առ այն, թե իբր «մի քանի օր առաջ հայաստանյան հայտնի գործարարներից մեկի առանձնատանն են հավաքվել ղարաբաղյան գեներալիտետի և հայ օլիգարխիայի ներկայացուցիչները» և, որ «հավաքը կազմակերպել է ՊԲ նախկին փոխնախարար Սամվել Կարապետյանը...», իրականության հետ որևէ աղերս չունի: Ստորագույն և սադրիչ ապատեղեկատվություն է նաև այն, որ իբր «հավաքի մասնակիցները երդվել են ամեն ինչ անել Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի իշխանությունը տապալելու համար»:

Նշվում է նաև, որ «հավաքին ներկա է եղել Սամվել Ալեքսանյանը»: Ելնելով վերոնշյալից իմ պարտքն եմ համարում «օդից կախված լուրերի» կամ անանուն աղբյուրների սիրահարներին իրազեկել հետևյալի մասին.-իմ և իմ նման ազատամարտիկների (այդ թվում՝ գեներալների՝ գործող և պաշտոնաթող) խնդիրն ու գերագույն նպատակն է ոչ թե զբաղվել հեղափոխությամբ կամ հակահեղափոխությամբ, այլև հարկ եղած դեպքում նորից կանգնել Հայրենիքի պաշտպանության դիրքերում:

Համոզված եղեք, որ մարտադաշտում չորս անգամ վիրավորված, հարյուրավոր հերոս զինակիցներ կորցրած զինվորականը չի կարող հանդես գալ Հայոց միասնականությունը պառակտողի և, ըստ այդմ՝ նաև մեր ազգային դիմադրողականությունը թուլացնողի դերում: Մինչդեռ այսօր, գիտակցաբար, թե անգիտակցաբար, նման սադրիչ ապատեղեկատվություններ տարածողների նպատակը ոչ այլ ինչ է, քան մեր ժողովրդի միասնականությունն աղճատող հանցավոր փորձ:

Ամենայն պատասխանատվությամբ հայտարարում եմ, որ իմ ողջ կենսագրության ընթացքում երբևէ հեղափոխությամբ կամ հակահեղափոխությամբ չեմ զբաղվել, իսկ եթե անգամ զբաղվել եմ, ապա դա եղել է մեկ անգամ՝ 1988-ին: Իսկ ինչ վերաբերում է երդմանը, ապա դա ևս եղել է մեկ անգամ՝ տակավին 1988-ին: Ավարտելով խոսքս, խնդրում և պահանջում եմ բոլոր նման ապատեղեկատվություններ տարածողներին զերծ մնալ մեր ընդհանուր հայրենիքի անվտանգությանը սպառնացող անպատասխանատու քայլերից»:
