Նախկին իշխանությունները Հայաստանի բնակչությանը երկար տարիներ աղքատության մեջ պահելով ու հանքեր շահագործելով աչքակապությամբ են զբաղվել, թե աշխատատեղեր են ստեղծում: Բնությանը հասցված վնասի հետևանքները երկրին ու ժողովրդին նվեր թողած ու շահագործելուց հետո բաց վիճակում թողած բազմաթիվ հանքեր կան այսօր Հայաստանում: Եվ իշխանություններից որևէ մեկը դեռ չի համարձակվել ասել, թե դրանց բերած օգուտն է ավելի մեծ եղել, թե վնասը:

Կիսատ-պռատ գրված օրենքները նույնպես նպաստել են, որ հանքարդյունաբերոողները շահագործելու թույլտվություն ստանալուց առաջ ոսկի սարեր խոստանան, բայց հետո դրանք անտեր-անտիրական թողնեն գնան:

Եվ այսօր, երբ անձևից հետո նման հանքերից հոսող դեղնականաչավուն գետերը ողողում են բնակելի տարածքներն ու հողերը, նախկին թալանչիները, որոնք հանքահենների հովանավորողներն էին՝ չկան:

Այն, որ հանքը չպետք է շահագործվի և Լիդիանը պետք է վերադառնա իր ակունքներ՝ երկու կարծիք լինել չի կարող: Ինչ վերաբերում է աշխատատեղեր ստեղծելուն, ապա ջերմուկցիներն ամեևին էլ նրանց չեն խնդրել իրենց օդն ու ջուրը թունավորելու հաշվին աշխատատեղ ստեղծելն:

Ինչ վերաբերում է ընկերության կողմից իրականացվող  սոցիալական ծրագրերի դադարեցմանը, ապա դրանով էլ չեն խաբի տեղի բնակչությանը: Ամուլսարի շահագործմանը դեմ է երկրի բնակչության առողջ բանականություն ունեցող հատվածը և բնական է, որ մնացածն էլ պետք է ենթարկվեն մեծամասնությանը: Ինչ վերաբերում է դրսից տղա բերելուն և դրանով իշխանություններին նեղը գցելուն, ապա դժվար է պատկերացնել, թե մարդու իրավունքներից ու նմանատիպ վեհ արժեքներից խոսող երկրներն ինչպես պետք է իշխանություններին ստիպեն, որ հանքը շահագործվի, եթե դրան դեմ են տեղի բնակիչները:
