Վարչապետ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանն այսօր`հուլիսի 17-ին, ընդունել է Հայաստանում Սուրբ Աթոռի առաքելական նվիրակ Արքեպիսկոպոս Ժոզե Ավելինու Բետանկուրին, հայտնում են ՀՀ վարչապետի աշխատակազմի լրատվական ծառայությունից։

Վարչապետը, ողջունելով Հռոմի Սրբազան Քահանայապետի ներկայացուցչին կառավարությունում, բարձր է գնահատել նրա նշանակալի ջանքերը Հայաստանի և Սուրբ Աթոռի միջև հարաբերությունների ամրապնդման գործում: Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի խոսքով՝ Հայաստան-Վատիկան միջպետական համագործակցությունը հիմնված է բարձր մակարդակի քաղաքական երկխոսության վրա, ինչի մասին է վկայում բարձրաստիճան պաշտոնական փոխայցերի և հանդիպումների դինամիկան: Վարչապետը նշել է, որ Հայաստանը կարևորում է երկկողմ հարաբերությունների խորացումը, ինչպես նաև Հայաստանյայց Առաքելական Սուրբ եկեղեցու և Հռոմի Կաթոլիկ եկեղեցու միջև կապերի զարգացումը: Կառավարության ղեկավարը խոսել է մեր երկրում տեղի ունեցող արմատական բարեփոխումների և գործընթացների մասին:

Շնորհակալություն հայտնելով ՀՀ վարչապետին ընդունելության համար՝ Սուրբ Աթոռի առաքելական նվիրակը նշել է, որ Հայաստանի անկախացումից ի վեր Հայաստանն ու Վատիկանն առանձնահատուկ հարաբերություններ են ունեցել, որոնք մինչ օրս էլ արդյունավետ զարգանում են: Ժոզե Ավելինու Բետանկուրն ընդգծել է՝ ուրախ է գտնվել մեր երկրում՝ պատմական փոփոխությունների ժամանակաշրջանում, և Սուրբ Աթոռի պատրաստակամությունը հայտնել՝ օժանդակել Հայաստանին զարգացման և առաջընթացի ճանապարհին:

Զրուցակիցները մտքեր են փոխանակել Հայաստան-Վատիկան կապերի հետագա խորացման հեռանկարների շուրջ: Վարչապետը նշել է, որ Հայաստան-Վատիկան սերտ համագործակցությունը հիմնված է քրիստոնեական արժեհամակարգի և ընդհանուր պատմական ժառանգություն ունենալու փաստի վրա, և որպես առաջին քրիստոնյա երկիր՝ Հայաստանը հատուկ կարևորություն է տալիս Սուրբ Աթոռի հետ կապերին:

Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը խնդրել է իր ջերմ բարեմաղթանքները փոխանցել Հռոմի պապ Ֆրանցիսկոսին: Վարչապետը նշել է, որ Հայաստանը և հայ ժողովուրդը երախատագիտություն է հայտնում Հռոմի Սրբազան Քահանայապետին և Վատիկանին՝ Հայոց ցեղասպանության 100-ամյա տարելիցին նվիրված պատարագի ժամանակ Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը ճանաչելու և դրանով իսկ միջազգային ճանաչման գործընթացում մեծ ներդրում ունենալու համար: Նիկոլ Փաշինյանն ընդգծել է՝ Հայոց ցեղասպանության միջազգային ճանաչումը և դատապարտումը կարևոր է հնարավոր ցեղասպանությունները և ոճրագործությունները կանխելու տեսանկյունից:
