Օտարերկրյա դիվանագետները մեկ անգամ արդեն «այրվել» են՝ հաստատակամորեն հայտարարելով, որ Դոնալդ Թրամփը պարտվելու է 2016 թվականի ԱՄՆ-ի նախագահական ընտրությունների արդյունքում, եւ նրանք չեն ցանկանում կրկին հայտնվել այդ կարգավիճակում, գրում է Politico-ն:

Նրանցից շատերը լուռ կանխատեսում են եւ պատրաստվում 2020 թվականին Թրամփի հաղթանակին: Մի քանիսն անգամ փորձում են պարզել, թե ով կընդգրկվի նախագահական թիմում երկրորդ ժամկետում:

«2016 թվականին ոչ ոք չէր հավատում, որ նա կընտրվի: Մարդիկ չեն ցանկանում հիմարի տեսք ունենալ»,-ասել է ԱՄՆ-ում Ֆրանսիայի նախկին դեսպան Ժերար Արոն:

Politico-ի հետ զրույցում օտարերկրյա դիվանագետներից եւ ոչ մեկը չի պնդել, որ Թրամփը կպարտվի: Փոխարենը նրանք մատնանշել են Թրամփի երեք առանցքային առավելությունները. նա գործող նախագահ է, ԱՄՆ-ի տնտեսությունն ամուր է, եւ դեմոկրատները չունեն առաջնորդ, որը մարտահրավեր կնետեր նրան:

Որոշ օտարերկրյա պաշտոնական դեմքեր հայտարարել են, որ պետք չէ հույս դնել 2020 թվականին Թրամփի պարտությանը՝ հաշվի առնելով նրա արտաքին քաղաքականությունը: Նրանց խոսքով՝ եթե անգամ Թրամփը պարտվի, նրա քաղաքական մոտեցումներից եւ հայացքներից մի քանիսը կարող են ձեւավորել ԱՄՆ-ի արտաքին քաղաքականությունն առաջիկա տարիներին:

Ասիական երկրներից մեկի դեսպանն ասել է, որ որոշ երկրներ կարող են նախընտրել նոր նախաձեռնություններ չսկսել Միացյալ Նահանգների հետ ներկայումս, որովհետեւ դրանց իրագործման հավանականությունը փոքր է, հատկապես նախընտրական արշավի մեկնարկից հետո:

Մեկ ուրիշ դիվանագետ նշել է, որ մի կողմից Թրամփը կարող է կորցնել հետաքրքրությունը խոշոր քաղաքական գործողությունների նկատմամբ 2020 թվականին՝ հաշվի առնելով նախընտրական քարոզարշավի զարգացումը: «Սակայն Թրամփին կանխատեսելը շատ բարդ է»,-ասել է օտարերկրյա դիվանագետը: «Նա մշտապես զարմացնում է»:

Որոշ հարցեր հաշվի առնելով՝ կապ չունի՝ կհաղթի նա, թե կպարտվի, համարում են դիվանագետները:

Օրինակ՝ Թրամփի ձգտումը դեպի ավելի «արդարացի» տնտեսական գործարքները էապես չի տարբերվում այնպիսի դեմոկրատ թեկնածուների հայացքներից, ինչպես Բերնի Սանդերն է կամ Էլիզաբեթ Ուորենը: Այլ կերպ ասած՝ որեւէ օտարերկրյա կառավարություն չպետք է ակնկալի ավելի լավ ուղղվածություն Թրամփից հետո:
