Սեպտեմբերի յուրաքանչյուր առաջին շաբաթ օրը նշվում է Մորուքի համաշխարհային օրը։ Մարդկության արական կեսի մորուք կրող բոլոր ներկայացուցիչները կարող են միանալ այն ակցիաներին, որոնք նվիրվում են այդ հիանալի տոնին։

Մորուք կրելու կամ դրանից հրաժարվելու պատմությունը նախասիրությունների, ճաշակի, մոդայիկ միտումների, կրոնական համոզմունքների, գեղեցկության մասին պատկերացումների եւ առնականության պատմությունն է, այսինքն՝ մարդկային կյանքի պատմությունը։

Այսօր մորուք ունենալը սերտորեն միաձուլվել է նաեւ տղամարդու արտաքին տեսքի նորաձեւ միտումների հետ։ Մորուքը դարձել է «տրենդ», որի մասին ոչ միայն խոսում, այլեւ երգում են բեմից։ Մորուք ունենալու մոդայի վերադարձը հանգեցրել է նաեւ այն ծառայությունների ոլորտի ընդլայնմանը, երբ վարսահարդարման սրահները սկսել են մատուցել նաեւ մորուքի խնամքի ծառայություններ՝ հետեւելով պահանջարկին հետեւելու շուկայական սկզբունքին։ Սկսել է վերածնվել «վարսավիրանոց» հասկացությունը, ինչպես նաեւ հայտնվել է «բարբերշոփ» հասկացությունը։ Այդ հաստատություններում, մազերը կտրելուց բացի, մատուցվում են նաեւ բեղերի եւ մորուքի խնամքի ծառայություններ։ Նման հաստատություններից շատերը սկսում են նմանվել տղամարդկանց ակումբների։
