Իրականում Հայաստանի և այլ երկրների միջև հարաբերությունները երկար տարիներ կառուցվել են օտարի քիմքին ու ցանկություններին հաճոյանալու հիման վրա և դրսից եկող ցանկացած պատվեր կատարելու համար: Դա, իրականում, դժվար է հարաբերություններ կոչել: Եվ եթե հաշվի առնենք նաև, որ այն ուղեկցվել է դրա դիմաց այլ երկրներից դրամաշնորհների և այլ նվիրատվությունների տեսքով գումարներ ստանալուն, ապա ավելի քան պարզ կդառնա, որ դրանք ոչ թե հարաբերություններ են եղել, այլ պարզ առևտուր:

Կարճ ասած, եթե ժամանակին երկիրը աճուրդի հանելով ինչ-ինչ հարաբերություններ են ստեղծվել, որի արդյունքում այսօր ունենք լքված հանքեր, օտարին հանձնած ռազմավարական նշանակության օբյեկտներ, ապա դա դեռ չի նշանակում, որ նման մոտեցումը կարելի էր և պետք էր անվերջ շարունակել:

Այսինքն՝ ստացվում է, որ լավ իմանալով, թե դե ֆակտո շատ ուղղություններով արդեն իսկ զրկված ենք սեփական երկրին տեր կանգնելու և սեփական շահի տեսանկյունից երկիրը կառավարելու հնարավորությունից, որոշ շրջանակներ այն անվանելով միջազգային հարաբերություններ, փորձում են հակասություններ տեսնել ներկա իշխանությունների կողմից վարվող հարաբերություններում, թեև նախկինում բոլոր տեսակի հարաբերությունները եղել են ավելի շատ վասալային, քան գործընկերային:

Մինչդեռ, վաղուց հասունացել էր ժամանակը, որ օտարին չնչին գումարներով տարբեր գործարքների արդյունքում նվիրաբերված կամ վաճառված ու դրանից ստացված գումարները, փոշիացրածը հետ բերելու քաղաքականություն վարվեր, ինչ էլ այսօր փորձում է իրականացնել փաշինյանական կառավարությունը:

Եվ, բնական է, որ այս մոտեցումը չի կարող դուր գալ շատերին, հատկապես մասնավորեցման շնորհիվ հսկայական կապիտալ ձեռք բերած նախկին պաշտոնյաներին ու նրանց արբանյակներին, ուստիև, ամեն առիթով փորձում են Հայաստանի և այս կամ այն երկրի առաջնորդների հարաբերությունների ու շփումների մեջ անհարթություններ տեսնել:

Սա բնական դիմադրություն է, որին, սակայն, պետք չէ խիստ լուրջ վերաբերվել: Իսկ տարիների ընթացքում կորցրածը վերականգնելը օրվա իշխանության որդեգրած քաղաքականաությունն է, որը կարող է նաև դուր չգալ Հայստանը սեփական մարզի վերածած շատ երկրների առաջնորդներին: Բայց, որ եկել է սեփական երկրին տեր կանգնելու և կորցրածը հետ բերելու ժամանակը, ապա այստեղ երկու կարծիք լինել չի կարող:
