Վարչապետ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանն ընդունել է Սուրբ Աթոռի պետությունների հետ հարաբերությունների քարտուղար Փոլ Ռիչարդ Գալլագերին: Այս մասին հայտնում են ՀՀ վարչապետի մամուլի ծառայությունից:

Վարչապետը ողջունել է պարոն Գալլագերի այցը Հայաստան և համոզմունք հայտնել, որ այն նոր ազդակ կհաղորդի մեր երկրի ու Վատիկանի միջև հարաբերությունների հետագա զարգացմանն ու ամրապնդմանը: Նիկոլ Փաշինյանն ընդգծել է, որ ՀՀ կառավարությունը շահագրգռված է խորացնելու երկկողմ կապերը Վատիկանի հետ և հայ ժողովրդի ջերմ վերաբերմունքն անձամբ Նորին Սրբություն Հռոմի Պապ Ֆրանցիսկոսի  և Սուրբ Աթոռի նկատմամբ: Այդ առումով, կառավարության ղեկավարը շեշտել է հայ-վատիկանյան ամուր հոգևոր և մշակութային պատմական կապերի փաստը ու նշել, որ դրանք լավ հիմք են հետագա համագործակցության համար:   

Փոլ Ռիչարդ Գալլագերը նշել է, որ Սուրբ Աթոռը ևս բարձր է գնահատում Հայաստանի հետ պատմական կապերն ու նշել Հռոմի պապի ջերմ զգացմունքները հայ ժողովրդի նկատմամբ: Սուրբ Աթոռի պետությունների հետ հարաբերությունների քարտուղարը հավելել է, որ Հայաստանը Վատիկանում ներկայացված է իր հարուստ պատմական ու հոգևոր  ժառանգությամբ, ինչը խոսում է երկկողմ սերտ կապերի վկայության մասին:    

Հանդիպման ընթացքում զրուցակիցները քննարկել են Հայաստանի ու Սուրբ Աթոռի միջև հարաբերությունների ամրապնդման և զարգացման հետագա քայլերը, մտքեր փոխանակել միջազգային ասպարեզում, այդ թվում՝ Մերձավոր Արևելքում տեղի ունեցող իրադարձությունների, ինչպես նաև տարածաշրջանային նշանակության խնդիրների շուրջ: Կողմերը կարևորել են Հայաստանի և Սուրբ Աթոռի ներդրումը աշխարհում խաղաղության պահպանման գործում:

Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը և  Փոլ Ռիչարդ Գալլագերն անդրադարձել են Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի կարագավորման գործընթացին և վերջին զարգացումներին:
