ԱՄՆ-ի մայրաքաղաքում գտնվող Հայաստանի խորհրդարանական պատվիրակության ղեկավար Լիլիթ Մակունցը հայտարարել է, որ հայ-ամերիկյան բարեկամության խումբը նախաձեռնում է Միացյալ Նահանգների կողմից Հայաստանին Աջակցության ակտի ընդունման գործընթացը, հաղորդում է «Ամերիկայի ձայնը»:

Ելույթ ունենալով Վաշինգտոնում Գերմանական Մարշալի անվան հիմնադրամի կողմից կազմակերպված փորձագիտական խորհրդաժողովի ընթացքում` Լիլիթ Մակունցն ընդգծել է, որ այս ակտի ընդունումը երկկողմ հարաբերությունները նոր մակարդակի վրա կբարձրացնի:

«Բանաձեւերի ընդունումը շատ է քաջալերում, սակայն, կարեւոր է անցնել հայտարարություններից վեր եւ պատրաստ լինել պարտավորություններ ստանձնել: Ակտը պարտավորություններ է նախատեսելու երկու կողմերից», - նշել է Հայաստանի խորհրդարանական մեծամասնության խմբակցության ղեկավարը:

Նրա խոսքով, «Թավշյա հեղափոխությունից» հետո պաշտոնական Վաշինգտոնի եւ Երեւանի միջեւ երկկողմ հարաբերությունները ռազմավարական մակարդակի բարձրացնելու որոշումն անհրաժեշտ է լցնել գործնական բովանդակությամբ: Դա, կողմերի հայեցողությամբ, կարող է լինել մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանությունը, կոռուպցիայի դեմ պայքարը, ինչպես նաեւ տարածաշրջանային անվտանգությանն ու տնտեսական զարգացմանն ուղղված հարցեր:

Նշենք, որ այս տարվա հոկտեմբերին ԱՄՆ-ի Ներկայացուցիչների պալատի կողմից ընդունված Վրաստանի Աջակցության ակտն այլ հարցերի հետ միասին նախատեսում է նաեւ, որ Միացյալ Նահանգները պատժամիջոցներ կարող է կիրառել բոլոր այն անձանց նկատմամբ, որոնք կձեռնարկեն Վրաստանի տարածքային ամբողջականության կամ մարդու իրավունքների դեմ ուղղված քայլեր:

Այս տեսանկյունից, Հայաստանին Աջակցության ակտը ռազմավարական հարաբերությունների տրամաբանական շարունակությունն է, նշում է խորհրդարանականը, ավելացնելով, որ ԱՄՆ-ի Կոնգրեսի գործընկերների շրջանում գաղափարն աջակցություն է գտել:

«Մեր բարեկամության խումբը փորձում է առաջատարի դեր ստանձնել ԱՄՆ-ի հետ խորհրդարանական հարաբերությունների ամրապնդման գործում, որոնք մենք դիտարկում ենք ռազմավարական երկխոսության շրջանակներում՝ տեսլականում ունենալով գաղափար, որ դրանք կարող են ապագայում այդ շրջանակներից էլ վեր լինել», - հայտարարել է նա:

Խորհրդաժողովի ընթացքում փորձագետներին հետաքրքրում էին ամենատարբեր հարցեր` Հայաստանի ներքին բարեփոխումներից մինչեւ միջազգային առաջնահերթություններ:
