Արցախի նախագահի թեկնածու, ԱՀ ԱԺ նախագահ Աշոտ Ղուլյանը կարևոր է համարում դեկտեմբերի 1-ին ՀՀ վարչապետ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի ու Արցախի նախագահ Բակո Սահակյանի հետ հանդիպումը եւ հույս է հայտնում, որ այդ ձևաչափով հանդիպումներ կլինեն նաև առաջիկայում և կընդգրկեն ավելի մեծ շրջանակ, հաշվի առնելով նաև թեմաների հրատապությունը: «Ղարաբաղյան կարգավորման թեմայով խոսակցությունը միշտ էլ արդիական է, քանի դեռ այդ գործընթացը, իմ խորին համոզմամբ, հեռու է հանգուցալուծման փուլից», ասել է Ղուլյանը: Նրա կարծիքով՝  պետք չէ ավելորդ կասկածամտությամբ վերաբերել այն քայլերին, որոնք արվում են գործող իշխանությունների կողմից՝ համազգային նշանակության հարցերի լուծման նպատակով, առավել ևս, որ հարցը վերջին մի քանի հարյուրամյակների անհաջողությունների մեջ միակ լուսավոր և հպարտություն հաղորդող ակունքին է վերաբերում՝ Արցախի ապագային: «Ինձ չի թվում, որ որևէ իշխանություն ուզենա այս պատասխանատվության ֆոնին իրեն զրկել համազգային փառքի պտուղներից` ժողովրդի կամքին հակառակ լուծման գնալով», 168.am ասել է նա:

Աշոտ Ղուլյանի գլխավորած քաղաքական ուժի դիրքորոշումը երկու առանցքային կետ ունի. առաջինը՝ ադրբեջանա-ղարաբաղյան հակամարտությունը կարող է կարգավորվել միայն ու միայն բանակցություններին Արցախի Հանրապետության լիարժեք մասնակցության պարագայում և երկրորդը՝ առաջարկվող լուծման տարբերակներն ու գաղափարները առաջին հերթին պետք է ընդունելի լինեն հակամարտության անմիջական կողմի՝ Արցախի ժողովրդի համար:
