Հայաստանի պետական սիմֆոնիկ նվագախումբը 2020 թվականը սկսում է եվրոպական աննախադեպ համերգային շրջագայությամբ։ Նվագախումբը՝ գեղարվեստական ղեկավար և գլխավոր դիրիժոր Սերգեյ Սմբատյանի ղեկավարությամբ, հունվարի 8-21-ը ելույթներ կունենա Եվրոպայի 5 երկրի (Գերմանիա, Մեծ Բրիտանիա, Ավստրիա, Չեխիա, Ռուսաստան) լավագույն համերգասրահներում։ Դասական երաժշտության ութ համերգները կկայանան՝ հունվարի 8-ին Մյունխենի Gasteig մշակութային կենտրոնում, հունվարի 9-ին՝ Զալցբուրգի Grobes Festspielhaus-ում, հունվարի 10-ին՝ Շտուտգարտի «Բեթհովեն» դահլիճում, հունվարի 12-ին՝ Բեռլինի ֆիլհարմոնիայի համերգասրահում։ Հունվարի 14-ին Հայաստանի պետական սիմֆոնիկ նվագախումբը բեմ կբարձրանա Լոնդոնի Բարբիկան կենտրոնում, հունվարի 17-ին՝ Վիեննայի Մյուզիքվերեյնում, հունվարի 19-ին՝ Պրահայի Ռուդոլֆինումում և հունվարի 21-ին՝ Մոսկվայի «Զարյադյե» դահլիճում։

Ըստ ՀՊՍ նվագախմբի հաղորդագրության՝ եւրոպացի խստապահանջ ունկնդրի առջև Հայաստանի պետական սիմֆոնիկ նվագախումբը հնչեցնելու է Ջոն (Ջիվան) Տեր-Թադևոսյանի Երկրորդ սիմֆոնիան՝ «Մարդու ճակատագիրը», որը 20-րդ դարի հայ կոմպոզիտորական արվեստի լավագույն սիմֆոնիաներից է։ Եվրոպացի ունկնդիրը պետական սիմֆոնիկ նվագախմբի շնորհիվ առաջին անգամ կբացահայտի Ջոն Տեր-Թադևոսյան կոմպոզիտորին ու նրա արվեստը։ «Մարդու ճակատագիրը», որ կոմպոզիտորը գրել է Միխայիլ Շոլոխովի համանուն պատմվածքից ստացած տպավորությունների հիման վրա, 2019 թվականին պետական սիմֆոնիկ նվագախումբը` Սերգեյ Սմբատյանի ղեկավարությամբ, ձայնագրել է. ձայնագրության երաժշտական պրոդյուսերն էր Գրեմմիի բազմակի մրցանակակիր Քրիստոֆեր Ալդերը։

Հյուրախաղերի ընթացքում Հայաստանի պետական սիմֆոնիկ նվագախմբի հետ ելույթ կունենա աշխարհի լավագույն ջութակահարներից մեկը՝ Մաքսիմ Վենգերովը, որն ընթացիկ համերգաշրջանում նվագախմբի ռեզիդենտ արտիստն է։ Վենգերովը նվագախմբի հետ կկատարի Մաքս Բրուխի Ջութակի առաջին կոնցերտը‚ Մորիս Ռավելի «Գնչուհին»։ Կհնչեն նաև Ալեքսեյ Շորի և Յոհաննես Բրամսի ստեղծագործություններից։

Եվրոպական շրջագայությունը հնարավոր է դարձել կյանքի կոչել Հայաստանի Հանրապետության կրթության, գիտության, մշակույթի և սպորտի նախարարության աջակցությամբ։
