ՀՀ Ազգային ժողովի նախագահ Արարատ Միրզոյանը մարտի 3-ին ընդունել է Եվրոպայի խորհրդի մարդու իրավունքների եւ օրենքի գերակայության հարցերով գլխավոր տնօրեն Քրիստոս Յակումոպուլոսի գլխավորած պատվիրակությանը:

Ողջունելով հյուրերին՝ Արարատ Միրզոյանը նշել է, որ իրենց նախորդ հանդիպումից հետո մի շարք ուղղություններով Հայաստանը լուրջ բարեփոխումներ է իրականացրել, այդ գործընթացը շարունակվում է, մասնավորապես, այսօր Ազգային ժողովը քննարկում էր դատաիրավական բարեփոխումների մի հսկա փաթեթ, եւ այս բարեփոխումները կրկին էական քայլեր կդառնան կոռուպցիայի կանխարգելման եւ դատական համակարգի առողջացման ու անկախացման ուղղությամբ:

Քրիստոս Յակումոպուլոսը հետաքրքրվել է Սահմանադրական դատարանի շուրջ ընթացող գործընթացներով եւ առաջիկայում սպասվող հանրաքվեով՝ նշելով, թե Եվրոպայի խորհրդում հասկանում են, որ սա շատ կարեւոր է Հայաստանի ժողովրդի համար եւ ուրախ կլինեն աջակցել:

Արարատ Միրզոյանը մանրամասն բացատրել է իրավիճակը եւ շեշտել, որ իր խորին համոզմամբ՝ այս հանրաքվեն եւ առհասարակ այս հարցի լուծումը շատ լուրջ քայլ է լինելու Հայաստանի հետագա ժողովրդավարացման ճանապարհին: ՀՀ Ազգային ժողովի նախագահն ընդգծել է, որ չի կարող լինել լիակատար ժողովրդավարություն, եթե չլինեն իշխանության պրոֆեսիոնալ եւ անկախ փոխզսպման ճյուղեր, ինչպես նաեւ չի կարող դատական իշխանությունը լինել այս ժողովրդավարական համակարգի մաս ու զսպել մյուս ճյուղերին, եթե չլինի անկախ, անաչառ, օբյեկտիվ եւ պրոֆեսիոնալ, սակայն, ցավոք, նման Սահմանադրական դատարան Հայաստանում հիմա չկա, եւ հանրաքվեն ամենալավ ճանապարհն է՝ անելու այդ փոփոխությունները:
