Այսօր որոշ մարդիկ օղի են օգտագործում մակերեսներն ախտահանելու համար: Բայց կարո՞ղ է արդյոք այս ալկոհոլային ըմպելիքն իսկապես ոչնչացնել վիրուսները, այդ թվում` նոր կորոնավիրուսը:

Բանն այն է, որ օղու մեջ ալկոհոլի պարունակությունը չի գերազանցում 56 տոկոսը: Սպիրտի մի շարք տեսակների դեպքում այն նույնիսկ ավելի քիչ է` մոտ 40 տոկոս: Սակայն վիրուսների ոչնչացման համար, այդ թվում` նոր կորոնավիրուսի, հակասեպտիկներ են անհրաժեշտ, որոնցում սպիրտի պարունակությունն ավելի քան 60 տոկոս է:

Ահա թե ինչու օղին հարմար չէ կորոնավիրուսը կանխելու նպատակով մակերեսներն ախտահանելու համար: Ավելին, կանխարգելման համար օղի խմել նույնպես խորհուրդ չի տրվում: Առողջապահության համաշխարհային կազմակերպության փորձագետների կարծիքով` ալկոհոլային խմիչքները չեն կարող պաշտպանել կորոնավիրուսով վարակումից: Խորհուրդ չի տրվում չարաշահել նման խմիչքները, իսկ խմել դրանք «կանխարգելման համար» բոլորովին անիմաստ է:
