«Փաստ» օրաթերթը գրում է

Իշխանափոխությունից անմիջապես հետո իշխանական ու մերձիշխանական մի շարք ուժեր և անհատներ անթաքույց պայքար սկսեցին Հայ Առաքելական եկեղեցու և Ամենայն հայոց կաթողիկոսի դեմ՝ փորձելով վարկաբեկել, Եկեղեցու և կաթողիկոսի հանդեպ թշնամանք ու ատելություն հրահրել հասարակության մեջ:

 Չստացվեց, քանզի մեր հասարակությունը անհամեմատ ավելի գիտակից ու իր եկեղեցուն նվիրյալ գտնվեց: Սակայն այս ուժերը չհանդարտվեցին և անցած երկու տարում մի փոքր առիթ էին փնտրում՝ հերթական սանձարձակ հարձակումը գործելու:

Նախօրեին նրանք այդպիսի մի «առիթ» գտան: Ն.Ս.Օ.Տ.Տ. Գարեգին Երկրորդ Ամենայն հայոց կաթողիկոսը մտահոգություն էր հայտնել ՀՀ երկրորդ նախագահ Ռոբերտ Քոչարյանի առողջության վերաբերյալ և նշել. 

«Հաղորդ լինելով նախագահի առողջության առնչությամբ բժիշկների մասնագիտական կարծիքներին, կարևոր ենք համարում, որ արդարադատության իրագործման հետ մեկտեղ ձեռնարկվեն բոլոր կանխարգելիչ միջոցներն ու միջոցառումները, այդ թվում՝ խափանման միջոցի փոփոխություն՝ համավարակի այս շրջանում ապահովագրելու նրան առողջական վիճակի հետագա բարդացումներից»:

Սա պարզապես հիստերիայի մեջ էր գցել որոշ անհատների: 

Այն, որ ուշաթափության աստիճան ջղաձգվելու և այս «առիթն» օգտագործելու են մշտապես եվրոպական դրամաշնորհներով ազգայինի դեմ պայքարածները, սպասելի էր: Շատ ավելի ցավալի էր վարչապետի մամուլի քարտուղարի արձագանքը, որն արդեն շատերի կողմից սուր գնահատականի է արժանացել: 

Ցավալի է նաև երկրի խորհրդարանի փոխխոսնակի գրառումը, որին արդեն շատ խիստ են անդրադարձել հոգևոր հայրերը: Ընդհանրապես, Վեհափառի դեմ «առիթավորված» այս արշավը, բացի ապազգային, ճղճիմ ու մանրախնդիր լինելուց, իր մեջ խոր վտանգներ է պարունակում: 

Բարեբախտաբար, նույն իշխանության մեջ շատերը կան, որ տուրք չտվեցին կազմակերպված այս հարձակման հրահանգին: 

Սակայն հազարավոր մարդկանց հղում տվողները և Վեհափառի փոփոխություն երազողները կարող են նաև առավել մանրամասն ուսումնասիրել, թե իրականում ում կամ ինչի փոփոխություն են ուզում ոչ թե հազարավոր, այլ հարյուրհազարավոր մեր քաղաքացիները...
