Ինդոնեզական Սուլավեսի կղզում բնակվում են տորաջի ցեղի ներկայացուցիչները, որոնք յուրահատուկ ծիսակատարություններ ունեն։

Յուրաքանչյուր երեք տարին մեկ անգամ տորաջիները գետնի տակից հանում են իրենց մահացած հարազատների մարմինները՝ Մանենե կոչվող ծիսակատարությունն անցկացնելու համար։

«Մանենե» անվանումը թարգմանվում է որպես «հանգուցյալների մարմինների մաքրման արարողություն»։ Հանգուցյալների դիերն արտաշիրիմում են և գեղեցիկ հագուստներ հագցնում: Այս ծիսակատարության նպատակը կենդանի մարդկանց և մեռյալների միջև կապը պահպանելն է:

Հասարակության մեջ թաղման արարողությունը չափազանց մեծ նշանակություն ունի և մեծ ծախսերի հետ է կապված։ Տորաջո ցեղի ներկայացուցիչները ողջ կյանքի ընթացքում գումար են խնայում՝ կյանքի ավարտին արժանավայել թաղում ունենալու համար։

Ծիսակատարության ժամանակ տորաջիներն արտաշիրիմում են երեք հարազատների դիեր, մաքրում են դրանք, նոր հագուստներ հագցնում։ Իսկ ահա թաղման արարողության ժամանակ տորաջիները ցուլ են մորթում, դրա կոտոշը տեղադրում իրենց հարազատի տան կողքին։ Որքան շատ լինեն տեղադրված կոտոշները, այնքան բարձր է հանգուցյալի սոցիալական դիրքը։

 

 

Արարողության վերջում հանգուցյալի մարմինը տեղադրում ենն ժայռերի մեջ գտնվող քարանձավերում: Այդ պահից սկսած հանգուցյալը սկսում է իր նոր ճամփորդությունը նոր աշխարհում:

Մեռյալներին անվանում են «հիվանդներ» կամ «քնածներ», քանի որ տորաջիները նրանց ողջ են համարում մինչև հողին հանձնելու պահը:

Տորաջիներն իրենց հարազատներին թաղում են այն վայրերում, որտեղ վերջիններս ապրել են կյանքի մեծ մասը կամ էլ որտեղ մահացել են: Այդ ավանդույթից հրաժարման պատճառով շատ ընտանիքներում մեծ վեճեր են սկսվում: Օրինակ՝ լինում են դեպքեր, երբ ամուսինները ցանկանում են իրար կողք թաղվել, սակայն ավանդույթը դա երբեմն չի թույլատրում։
