Բեթհովենն ամեն օր 60 հատիկներից սուրճ էր եփում, իսկ Վոլտերն օրական 50 բաժակ սուրճ էր ըմպում և ապրեց մինչև 83 տարեկանը: Ինչպես երևում է, սուրճից կախվածությունն այնքան էլ վտանգավոր չէ, որքան պնդում են:
