COVID-19 համավարակի պայմաններում խորհուրդ է տրվում վարակումից խուսափելու համար պարբերաբար լվանալ ձեռքերը կամ մշակել հականեխիչներով: Սակայն եթե այս ամենը չափից ավելի հաճախ է արվում, ապա դա կարող է հանգեցնել որոշակի խնդիրների, պնդում է ալերգաբան Սերգեյ Բիկովը (Ռուսաստան):

«Ինֆեկցիաների բոլոր հարուցիչները փոխանցվում են ծածկող հյուսվածքներով՝ մաշկ եւ լորձաթաղանթներ: Այս հյուսվածքները զրահ են, որը մեզ պաշտպանում է ինֆեկցիաների հարուցիչների մանրէների թափանցումից (բակտերիաներ, սունկ-միկրոմիցետներ, վիրուսներ եւ միաբջիջներ): Այս զրահը, օրինակ՝ մաշկը, օրգանիզմի բազմաէշելոնային պաշտպանություն է կողմնակի ազդեցություններից եւ ախտածին մանրէներից: Այս պաշտպանությանը նպաստում են մաշկի բազմաշերտ էպթելերը (մեխանիկական պաշտպանություն), նրա թթու միջավայրը (рН 5,5), համեմատաբար ցածր ջերմաստիճանը, նրա գեղձազատուկները (ճարպաթթուներ, բնական հակաբիոտիկներ՝ հակամանրէային պեպտիդներ եւ այլն), ինչպես նաեւ նորմալ միկրոֆլորան (միկրոբիոտա), որը ձեւավորում է անտեսանելի բիոլոգիական թաղանթ, որը ճնշում է ախտածին մանրէները՝ նրանց մեջ մտնելով մրցակցային եւ անտագոնիստական փոխազդեցության մեջ»,- ասել է մասնագետը:

Նրա խոսքով՝ մաշկի հիգիենայի պահպանման ուշացած միջոցառումները նվազեցնում են ինֆեկցիաների դեմ մաշկի պայքարի արդյունավետությունը: Կուտակված քրտինքը, մաշկային ճարպը եւ մաշկի աղտոտվածությունը նպաստում են կողմնակի մանրէների բազմացմանն ու ներդրմանը՝ նրանց առաջ բացելով օրգանիզմի ներքին օրգաններ տանող դարպասները: Հենց դրանցով է պայմանավորված տհաճ հոտը (ինչպես բացատրեց մասնագետը, բուրում է ոչ թե մաշկը, այլ մանրէների մետաբոլիտները, որոնք կուտակվում են մաշկի մեջ, ինչից ազատվում են դեզադորների եւ նման այլ միջոցների կիրառմամբ): Մասնագետի խոսքով՝ հենց այս պատճառով է այդքան կարեւոր ուշադրություն դարձնել մարմնի մաքրությանն ու հիգիենային, եւ հիմա COVID-19 համավարակի ժամանակ այս խնդիրն առանձնապես արդիական է:

Համավարակի պայմաններում ԱՀԿ-ի փորձագետները խորհուրդ են տալիս պարբերաբար լվանալ ձեռքերն օճառով կամ մաքրել դրանք ալկոհոլ պարունակող հակասեպտիկով: Սակայն խնդիրն այն է, որ վտանգավոր վիրուսների եւ մանրէների հետ միասին այս բոլոր միջոցները զարմացնում են նաեւ «պաշտպաններին»` մաշկի օգտակար «բնակիչներին»:
