ArmDaily.am-ի տեղեկություններով՝ երկարատև հիվանդությունից հետո մահացել է ՀՀ ԱԺ նախկին նախագահ, Բելառուսում Հայաստանի արտակարգ եւ լիազոր նախկին դեսպան Արմեն Խաչատրյանը։ Խաչատրյանը 63 տարեկան էր։

Արմեն Խաչատրյանի կենսագրությունը

Խաչատրյանը ծնվել է 1957թ. օգոստոսի 13-ին՝ Երևանում։ն1978թ. ավարտել է Խ.Աբովյանի անվան Երևանի մանկավարժական ինստիտուտի բանասիրական ֆակուլտետը, բանասիրության գիտությունների թեկնածու է։

Աշխատանքային գործունեություն`

1978-1980թթ. Ձորաղբյուր գյուղի միջնակարգ դպրոցի հայոց լեզվի և գրականության ուսուցիչ

1980-1981թթ. Հայաստանի պետական պատկերասրահի գիտական մասի վարիչ

1981-1985թթ. ՀԼԿՄ Երևանի քաղաքային կոմիտեի հրահանգիչ

1985-1987թթ. ՀԿԿ Երևանի Շահումյանի շրջկոմի հրահանգիչ

1987-1990թթ. Երևանի հ. 191 միջնակարգ դպրոցի տնօրեն

1991-1999թթ. Երևանի «Հրաչյա Աճառյան» համալսարանի հիմնադիր անդամ, գիտակրթական գծով պրոռեկտոր, պրոֆեսոր

1999թ. ՀՀ Ազգային ժողովի պատգամավոր, ԱԺ արտաքին հարաբերությունների մշտական հանձնաժողովի նախագահ

2002թ. Պարգևատրվել է Ուղղափառ ժողովուրդների միջազգային հիմնադրամի կողմից սահմանված «Ուղղափառ ժողովուրդների միասնությունը ամրապնդելու գործում բացառիկ գործունեությանհամար» միջազգային մրցանակ
