Ուկրաինայի Բարեփոխումների ազգային խորհրդի գործադիր կոմիտեի ղեկավար, Վրաստանի նախկին նախագահ և Օդեսայի նախկին նահանգապետ Միխեիլ Սաակաշվիլին տեսաուղերձ է հղել, որում շնորհակալություն է հայտնել Ուկրաինային՝ «իր երկրորդ տանը»՝ նշելով, որ այժմ վերադառնում է հայրենիք՝ Վրաստան: Այդ մասին Սաակաշվիլին հայտարարել է ֆեյսբուքյան իր էջում հրապարակված տեսաուղերձում:

«Ուկրաինան իմ երկրորդ տունն է։ Ժամանակին ես այստեղ եկա իմ գլխավոր տնից՝ իմ քաղցր Վրաստանից։ Ես սիրում էի Ուկրաինան դեռ ուսանողական տարիներից, ամենածանր ժամանակներում հենց Ուկրաինան է ինձ ընդունել այնպիսին, ինչպիսին կամ՝ առանց պայմանների և պահանջների, և ես դա խորապես գնահատում եմ»,-հայտարարել է Սաակաշվիլին։

Նա նշել է, որ վերջին յոթ տարիների ընթացքում շատ բան է փոխվել և բավականաչափ փորձ ու գիտելիքներ է ձեռք բերել, որպեսզի «ավելի լավ ծառայի իր երկրին և սխալներ թույլ չտա»՝ խոստովանելով, որ իր նախագահության ընթացքում սխալներ, այնուամենայնիվ, թույլ է տվել։

«Աստված վկա, ես ամենալավն էի ցանկանում ժողովրդիս համար։ Ուզում էի, որ իմ ժողովուրդն ավելի լավ ապրի, ավելի հարուստ ապրի և, այնուամենայնիվ, թույլ տված սխալների համար ուզում եմ բոլորից ներողություն խնդրել։ Այս յոթ տարիների ընթացքում ոչ մի օր չի եղել, որ ես չհետաքրքրվեմ Վրաստանի նորություններով, և գիտեմ, որ իմ նախագահության շրջանը զուր չի անցել, և այն, ինչ մենք ստեղծել ենք, պահպանվել է մինչ օրս և գործում է: Սակայն, միևնույն ժամանակ, երբ ես լսում եմ նորություններ Վրաստանից, հասկանում եմ, որ մենք կարող ենք շատ ավելի լավ ապրել, յուրաքանչյուր վրացի կարող է ավելի հարուստ ապրել, և մեզ մոտ դա կստացվի: Ես վերադառնում եմ»,- հայտնել է քաղաքական գործիչը։

Սաակաշվիլին բազմիցս խոսել է Վրաստանում կայանալիք խորհրդարանական ընտրությունների մասին՝ նշելով, որ չի ճանաչում ներկայիս ղեկավարության լեգիտիմությունը և ընտրություններում պատրաստ է պայքարել առաջնագծում: Նրա հայտարարությունների պատճառով Թբիլիսին Կիևից հետ է կանչել իր դեսպանին. իշխանությունները նախկին նախագահի արտահայտությունները համարում են Վրաստանի ներպետական գործերին միջամտություն:

Սաակաշվիլին Վրաստանից հեռացել է 2013 թվականին, որտեղ նրա դեմ մի շարք քրեական գործեր են հարուցվել։
